the flash light is beyond cheaply made, I put the batteries in and it lights up very weak. if you shake the flash it goes on and off

I bought two of these, and I always grab one in the morning when I rise before the rest of the household and don't want to turn any lights on and wake everyone up. They give a lot of light and the batteries an more than ample for the amount of time I use them. The kids sometimes use them as a nightlight if they want to sit up reading while on their holidays and they are still going in the morning. I use rechargeable D batteries and I bought two to be able to rotate the battery charging. The cap that unscrews to open the battery compartment is pretty light material, so I do use some care when changing batteries to not ruin the thread and it is not always that easy to get lined up, but with care it should be okay. Great light, long lasting. I like the price too!

This is a good, basic flashlight. No bells and whistles, no adjustable beam, just a solid, well-make light that takes 2 D cell batteries, which is just what I wanted.
