The Kal brand has been around since 1932 and this product is tested for quality. The capsules are easy to swallow and only 1 capsule per day. There's not a lot of quality certification on the bottle - I am familiar with the brand and their good manufacturing practices so the trust is already there.The liposomal simply means a bit of fat (lipids blend from sunflower and sustainable palm oil) has been added to help with absorption of the iron. This addition of lips helps carry the Iron mineral to our small intestine where it is then broken down and absorbed by our cells to support red blood cells. Vitamin C is also added as studies have shown Iron absorption is increased when in the presence of this vitamin. The alternative is to simply take your iron supplement with fatty foods and orange juice. Being a vegetarian it's hard for me to get iron form my foods alone so this simple supplement is perfect.This product has just what is needed and nothing more so it makes taking other supplements easier as this is just where I get my iron.

KAL Liposomal Iron Supplement with Liposomal Vitamin CKAL has been around for a long time, and I’ve purchased several different vitamins from them over the years, so I felt confident ordering this iron supplement. The liposomal delivery system makes sense to me, as does including a small amount of vitamin C to help absorption.The bottle arrived with the typical safety seal under the child-proof cap. The 30 vegan capsules are distinctive looking due to their visible flecks of dark color, so they’re easy to distinguish from all my other supplements. When I removed them from their bottle there was no loose powder. Each pill is a typical capsule size (see photo).I don’t take iron every day, but when I do I take it in the morning with my coffee when I don’t plan on eating for a couple of hours. These were not difficult to swallow for me; they’re a typical vegan capsule. If you need an iron supplement, and this is the right dosage, I think the liposomal delivery system of these is a good option to consider, especially if you’ve had digestive issues from taking iron.I never rate supplements as 5 stars unless they are from a trusted brand and have a USP seal. I wish supplements were regulated, but until then sometimes choosing a trusted brand is the best you can do. “Mfd by Neutraceutical Corp. / KAL”. The bottle I received in February 2024 was marked “ED: 11/25” on the bottom.

It absorbs well and does not cause stomach issues. It is easy to swallow. It has vitamin C to help absorption so you don't have to take that separately. I trust this company and have used other products from them. They are US based and have good quality.

I really wanted to rate this higher, as liposomal supplements for things like iron and vitamin C are much better. The delivery system ensures that these supplements get through the stomach and into the intestines for better bioavailability. Unfortunately, the company doesn't provide any independent verification of the purity and potency of their supplements. The bottle doesn't even claim such testing. Without that, the effectiveness and reliability of the product is too uncertain to recommend.

This is a 30 capsule bottle. Which at the recommended dosage is a month. I don't supplement with iron daily. Only when I go a few days without noticeable iron sources in my diet. That usually means no cast iron cooking, more junk food days, etc. I have had some iron supplements kind of turn my stomach for a few minutes. I am not noticing that on these. They do seem to have some flow agents in the ingredients. So, make sure to read the label if you are concerned about that. Being coated should help with bio-uptake and not pass through.From what I understand KAL has been in business for a while. They also seem to have a presence and information available on their website. That helps me when deciding where my long term trust in a product goes.

I've been taking this iron for a couple of weeks and have had no digestive issues with it. It doesn't taste metallic or leave an aftertaste. As someone who doesn't eat red meat I am very happy to have an iron supplement that's so easy to take and doesn't have any side effects.

Overall: Recommended! Great product for supporting improved immune function in our opinion the bottle packaging is fine and the safety seals are doing the job. Nice that it is independently tested and that it has good manufacturing practice (GMP) certification. We like to check with our health care practitioner before staring a new supplement and this one seemed fine : ) Kal is a great company with many supplements on the market. Liposomal is a terrific way to get the supplements to be bioavailable in our opinion. Cheers!
