Sensor
Relatively simple to set up via my smart life and so far it works OK. I've set it up in my garage and it pings me a notification when there's movement. The range seems OK. I feel a lot happier having it in there as there has been a spate of break-ins locally and hopefully this will alert me if some undesirables try and break in. Good value in my opinion.

This Motion Sensor + Smart Plug + LED Lights + Alexa Routine = Great automation
I've had this sitting in my drawer for a few months, but after recently getting an Amazon Basics Smart Plug, I now have the use for this.My kitchen has a cheap LED strip going under our counters which look nice at night, but it had been a bit annoying to constantly switch on and off from the plug.I then got an Amazon Basics Smart Plug which I could then say to Alexa to switch on and off the LED strips (I named the plug Kitchen Lights), but that wasn't very useful at night as it would wake everyone up.Now with this motion sensor set up, I added it in the Tuya app, which I then linked to the Alexa app to allow the device to appear as a usable device for routines.I then set up a routine "WHEN motion Sensor detects motion at any time, ALEXA WILL Power on Kitchen Lights".I then added a second routine "WHEN motion sensors detects no motion for 1 minute, ALEXA WILL Poer off Kitchen Lights".So far, it's been working almost perfect - sometimes there's a slight lag as my sensor's WiFi connection is a bit iffy due to numerous thick concrete walls between that and our router, so will get a repeater plugged in much closer which this sensor can connect to. I'll also be adjusting the routine to only activate between 8pm and 5am so that it isn't constantly triggering during the day.So many uses for this, it's a great item for those who love smart automation in their household.

Too many false triggers
Bought to detect if our cats sneak in and get locked in our garden summerhouse by accident.Main issue in setting up is needs good solid WiFi so had to put in a WiFi extender as summerhouse is some distance from main residence.Once done it was up and running fairly quickly, say half hour fiddling with connections and passwords to the Wi-FiIn use I now get trigger alerts to my phone about every 10 minutes from the empty room and I have had to disable the reporting while I investigate. There are many windows, it's a summerhouse, but the blind's are all shut. No advice on location within a room.PSLater on, moved sensor to be floor level and now it seems sorted. I am GUESSING that the tiny amount of heat from the PC on table below it when it was wall mounted, so I could use the USB to power it, may have been the issue.

Compact and Nicely Made Unit
I ordered this as the majority of my smart home devices run on the Tuya / Smart Home platform so I hoped to be able to control our dining room to turn on only when we enter and at night, so far I am still trying to work out the settings in the app but it does look like it will do the job.On opening, this unit comes with a sticky pad and some wall screws for permanent mounting. The main device has been nicely built and is compact with a clean white exterior.Pairing this to my Smart Life app was a breeze, it was recognised as soon as I removed the battery saver. After the pairing I fully charged the device which only took a couple of hours so it was ready to mount and to use. Next I placed it in a temporary position using some blue tack just to get an idea of the coverage and I have to say that it was terrific, it has a very wide angle of reception so this obviously needs to be take into account when placing your own unit.Once positioned and paired I wanted to test the response so I enabled the notifications and found that they were instant, as soon as any motion was detected the app on my phone would respond with a message within one or two seconds. My main reason for getting this was for the smart home side of things so I looked through the app to try and work out how to enable lights etc' when a room has been entered but this I found to be quite complex. That said, I am an older person who is retired so new technology isn't my first language, lol. I am slowly working out how to do this and I can see within the app that it is possible so with some perseverance I will have it solved.Overall, this is a terrific motion sensor with plenty of options making it very versatile and sold at a great price. As far as I have been able to work out this will only work with Tuya / Smart Life equipment for controlling lights and more however it can act as a security device too using the smart phone notifications, for people on a budget they will likely make Tuya their products of choice so this will work very well for the majority of setups.Well built, compact and very responsive.Recommended.

Works on and off but is unreliable
Works sometimes, but not reliable. Don't buy if you want something that will reliably pick up motion.
