Small but mighty hot plate
This hot plate works is amazing. It's small, but very powerful. I like that it begins heating immediately and the temperature rises to the desired level in about a minute. You can choose low, medium, high heat, or any temperature in between. It maintains the temperature well. I also like that it does not take up a lot of space. The appearance is attractive and spills clean off easily. I use it to reheat coffee and also have made a pancake in a small fry pan. I've had mine for months, and it continues to perform with at least one to two uses per day. I have yet to find a negative point and highly recommend it. I plan to buy several more as holiday gifts for friends and family.

Stopped working on second use
I bought this in November for my summer camping. I tested it one time. It took a long time, but heated up a pan of water. I was camping for the first time last week. I was cooking some bacon and half way through, it quit. I’ve tried two more times and it doesn’t work. Waste of my money!

It gets very hot
The media could not be loaded. I bought this to take in my camper to save propane. It's very handy and compact. It takes little longer but it gets my 6 cup coffee pot perking with no problem. Fully adjustable for any setting from off to high. The hot plate is black cast metal and transfers heat efficiently. The one down side is that the metal base gets just about as hot as the hot plate and takes quite a while to cool enough to handle. It has rubber feet to keep it off the counter but I still put it on a cutting board to protect the counter from heat. I would recommend it as long as you're aware that the base gets very hot.

Works great
Works as advertised, yes the unit does get warm along the casing but what do you expect it's a high heating unit. Unplug it and let it sit and cool off before moving it. I use it for my beeswax melting, double boiler style. No issues

You get what you pay for
I ordered this hot plate because it seemed like an affordable way to use my new moka pot. but upon the first use as recommended, i set the heat to max to let it burn off the factory residue. but in the middle of doing so it burnt itself out and stopped working. i now have a useless paperweight that never had function to begin with. im dissapointed in this product and would reccomend finding something better. as the price seemed too good to be true, it turns out, it was.

Works great but takes a LONG time to cool
I bought it for my son's Moka pot and it works great. However I didn't expect that the entire enclosure would become too hot to handle after use. You can't just turn it off, pick it up by the case and put it away, it takes about 25 minutes for the body of the unit to cool. A couple of handles would make it perfect.

Awesome.
I love this little stove. It's cute, very portable, and heats well. The heating plate is cast iron, so it will rust if exposed to water for too long. The cord is short, probably for safety reasons.
