I needed a speaker for my mac mini because the built-in sound was really weak, especially when watching videos or attending Zoom classes. this little speaker exceeded my expectations. The sound is much louder and clearer than I thought. I use it to watch Youtube, listen to Spotify, join online lectures, and even watch Chinese dramas at night. I also really like that it doesn't take up space — it clips neatly onto the bottom of my monitor. That helps a lot because my dorm desk is small and already full. Another thing I appreciate is how easy it is to use. I'm using a Mac but i only require a usb port to connect it, so I just plugged it in and it worked right away. No need to install any driver or app. It also has volume control buttons right on the front, which is very convenient because I can quickly mute or turn it up without searching for keys. the clip is strong and holds well, and the speaker feels solid, not cheap or plastic. It even looks kind of sleek and modern. I really recommend this one. I've been using it every day for schoolwork and relaxing after class, and it's been very reliable.

LOUD! Just what I was looking for when streaming on my Surface Pro.My Surface Pro has lousy sound when it comes to videos or streaming. Which is weird as I am unable to play games at a high setting as it is too loud. Guess I can blame the videos themselves. Anyway - when streaming Amazon or Apple, I could barely hear anything with the Pro’s volume all the way up. It was bad.THIS speaker is the game changer. Hooking to the machine is fine but sometimes Apple gets hokey and I need to shut the app down and reopen for it to find/use the speaker. But anything else on the machine - the speaker plays right away.Being able to control the volume on the speaker itself is EVERYTHING! That is why I ordered this one. And it is great!There is one aspect that requires improvement. The clamp is far far too powerful and will damage screens. There is no reason it needs to clip on like the jaws of life. Who is running a marathon while using this speaker? Again, far too tight and powerful. I just keep the speaker near my machine and I am good to go.The cord is also very long for this. Not sure why, as I would assume most screens would be quite near to where you plug it in. But I guess it is better to have it longer than you need rather than shorter.Very happy with my purchase.

You're better off with a standing speaker. The rubber padding on the clip started sliding off almost immediately, it just sits on my desk now. Which seems like it's where it was meant to be, the media control buttons are inverted when it's hanging off a monitor... Very silly design.Sound quality is fine for podcasts, any kind of music at any reasonable volume will clip and sound tinny. No bass response, anemic mids, shrill highs. Cable is too long.Build quality is fine. It's gray plastic. The clip makes it not very portable if you were thinking about putting it into a backpack, it'll catch on pockets and just is a weird shape.Works fine. A little pricey for such a lackluster speaker, I paid to mount it to my monitor and it was bad at doing that. At least it doesn't occupy much room on my desk.
