Q: How many ounces should you drink a day?

I had a kidney pain. I believe it help me. I was drinking twice a day for 10 days. I was mixing 4 tablespoon of dry herb in 4 cups of water, and cooking it as directed. I drunk 4 coups a day for 10 days. Now I drink twice a week using 2 table spoons per 4 cups of water.

Q: So I have to let this soak for hours before heating? Can I really not just steep like regular tea?

Yes you can steep like regular tea if you wish, or have little time. However, if you do this, it is recommended to simmer for 10-15 min. prior too drinking. Also, you can do a "first steep", and then simmer and let sit for many hours, and the tea will intensify in its flavor and medicinal value. Definitely don't throw out after the first steep! There is lots of deep flavor and health benefit to longer steeping/simmer times!
