TableCraft 13" Plastic Cake Dome Cover and Stainless Steel Plate Set, 2.6

This is everything I was looking for in a cake cover. It has such a charming vintage look. The base is a nice stainless steel with a small pedestal so it doesn't sit flat on the counter which is a nice feature as well. This was packed well and the handle comes separately so there's no chance of it breaking off during shipping. You simply screw the handle on with the two screws that are included. This absolutely fits over a 3 layer cake with no problem at all. everything looks more delicious when its under this cake cover!

I was looking for a cake platter with top and ended up buying this. While the cover isn't airtight, it does well in not allowing cakes or muffins to dry out when placed under it. I have washed it, placed it in the refrigerator, and iced a cake on it - it definitely is a keeper. it fits well in the dishwasher and in the refrigerator. I have kids so it is nice that it will not break if "accidentally" dropped and the handle is firmly on. While you could put a three layer cake under it, if there is any icing design on it, it will not fit under the lid. Now if you have a double layer cake with decorations on top of the cake, it will fit just fine under the lid. For the cost, this is definitely a keeper.

Not sure if the insufficient packaging is the manufacturer's fault or Amazon's but we ordered this product thrice and each time it showed up with the "glass" (polycarbonate?) cracked. I'm not sure there is any fundamental problem with it but standard box-in-a-box and empty space filling shipping standards for a fragile item were not being followed. Otherwise seemed like it would have been a fine (but fragile) product. Maybe bad luck on our part but we weren't about to try a fourth time.

This cake cover and plate are the perfect solution for protecting baked goods, or other items. The plate is wide and flat. The dome lid is light enough to lift easily, but has enough body to remain in place on the plate. The footing on the plate makes it easy to move the tray around. The ensemble adds a bit of charm to the kitchen: it is a showcase for an enticing treat. I purchased this item for my elderly mother's use. No heavy glass dome to lift cautiously, easy to replace the cover on the plate, very good visibility of contents, wide, easy-hold handle, easy to clean and store. Item shipped promptly, with sturdy packaging. I am really pleased with the purchase, and I now consider this item as a kitchen essential.

Very sturdy, understated decor, classic shape and roomy enough for stacked donuts or bagels, large muffins. However I don’t recommend putting anything onion-y. I put onion and everything bagels in there, and now can’t get the scent out of the plastic dome. Washed it multiple times, it still transfers the onion smell to any food you put in…in our case it was a cake. :( Otherwise, I love the shape, simple lines, and size.

I really love this. It's cheap but it works! I use this to present baked goods to keep on my counter. Whether it be cookies, cupcakes or brownies, this is a nice place to put your desserts and keep them out. The lid overtop fits perfectly and given that it's plastic, its pretty easy to clean. I normally put down wax paper on the bottom of the plate so that I don't have to keep cleaning up the bottom. This fits a cake perfectly and I've never had a problem with it being too short. If you're making a standard double layer cake, this should be perfect for you.

This is a very pretty covered cake plate. It keeps cake moist but not gooey. It is well made and can accommodate a large cake. Guest have commented on how pretty it is. There is a platform under the plate which allows you to easily lift it off the table while maintaining level on the table.

I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality for the price. Sturdy and looks nice and plastic top is clear.Update I washed the cake topper with normal sponge (foam scrubber) and it left scratches all over the the plastic. This was a typical sponge so beware to only use the soft side as it scratches way to easy.
