Best Solution for No-Slip Steps on Any Surface
Got my anti-slip tape a few days ago and put it on our inside steps to the second story -- typical older house with 1 bath upstairs. No kids, but a wife who insists on falling down the steps because she says they're slippery. Nine-foot ceilings means 14 stair steps. I cut them into 2-foot lengths so I have 5 feet left over, which I plan to use outdoors. Cutting with scissors was easy; I rounded the corners to make sure they didn't get caught when cleaning. Marked 4" in from the wall side so the treads would be straight. Peeled the backing paper off half way, the long way. and folded it down, which made it easier to get them on straight. I put them close to the front edge of the step, about an eighth of an inch. Got the front on straight and pulled off the rest off the backing. I used a wood block and hammer to smack each tape tread so it would stick good. I hope I don't ever need to get these off; they stick extremely well. These are wooden steps, stained at one time but wearing down from use, so they actually look better with the tape treads in place. I thought about rounding the tape over the nose of each step and stapling under the front edge, but then I'd have needed to put another piece in the center of the step. The tape would need to be at least 6" wide for this to be practical, but doing this is possible if you need the tape to round over the front edge of the step. Keep in mind though that going up the steps will eventually scuff up the toe top of your shoes if you're not really careful. The 80 grit surface seems to be just about right; lots of traction but still not so rough I can't walk on them barefoot. Time will tell how well these will hold up, but they appear to be well made so I expect a reasonably long life. The 4 inch width is a good size as it only takes one per step; with the two inch tape you need to put down two tape strips, and that's a lot more work. I bought two rolls of tape because I have basement steps (also wood) which I'll do next, and a pair of cement steps both front and back outside. My only concern with using this tape outside is whether it will stick well enough in the winter to avoid being ripped off with a snow shovel, but judging by the tape I put down inside, I don't think that will be a problem. It's convenient, easy to use, customizable, and does the job really really well, so I give this tape a 5-star rating. If the tape doesn't hold up under use for a fair amount of time I'll revise my rating, but for now definitely 5 stars.

Made a slppery surface safe again
A good friend of ours has a professional dog grooming business. She has a ramp which pulls out from under the wash tub to permit the larger or older dogs to walk up the ramp to get in and out of the bath tub. The ramp is made of diamond plate material. The traction strips which were on the ramp came off. which largely rendered the ramp worthless. I ordered the 2" and 4" of this material to reapply to the ramp to return safe foot holds for the canine spa customers, my K9 kids among them. The material is nice and thick, but not so thick it's difficult to work with. It's made very well, the roll was sealed nicely and the manufacturing quality very high. I measured the lengths of traction strips needed and I cut the strips one by one with heavy duty garage scissors. The material cut cleanly and smoothly. The adhesive stuck very well to the cleaned metal diamond plate surface. The edges of the traction strips are nicely finished, unlike others I have used which would fray and were coming apart. The end result was the dramatic improvement in traction I sought for the ramp. They stuck to the ramp and remain there. They work and help the big dogs walk up the ramp. I have other uses for these as well. I plan to add these strips on some tractor implements to make slippery surfaces safer. I like the quality of the product and found it easy to work with. I will be adding some of these strips to my smooth garage floor as it is very slick when wet and these will help prevent falling. I may even put a strip or two in the shower. My wife wouldn't like it, but the tile floor is dangerously slippery and something must be done. WELL DONE ON THIS PRODUCT IN THE 2" AND 4' WIDTHS.

Sticks well to wood deck
We bought this to apply to a treated wood deck ramp that our dogs use. The roll was the best option so we could custom fit the strips to the ramp. We place one strip on each 5/4 deck board (which is 5 1/2" wide) and it works perfectly. I waited a while to review to give it some time to fail but it is still going strong. I prepped the ramp by sweeping it and wiping it down with a damp cloth and let it dry. Placing it down was a breeze and I did not use any special tool to roll it. I simply lined it up, slowly starting at one end, I pressed it down a couple inches at a time until I reached the end. Went back over it with my palms and that was that. I has survived monsoon rain, sunny heat in the 90's and 4 dogs with no issues. Very happy with this product, great grip for your feet. It is also priced well enough that if I do have an issue with a strip it would not be hard to replace. At first I thought the grit was to aggressive for the dog paws but they have had no complaints or issues.

Works to perfection
I looked at lots of anti-slip tape before deciding on this one — as usual, it paid off. I needed it for exterior wooden steps. Everything about the tape says quality — extremely satisfying weight, thickness and grit. It stuck perfectly and is performing great service. I’ve only had it on for 2 weeks (July in South Carolina) — it doesn’t seem to notice heat or rain. Still, 2 weeks isn’t enough of a test, so I plan to add to this review again for the benefit of fellow shoppers. UPDATE: August 6th — after being on my outside wooden steps for 3 weeks (extreme humidity, extreme heat and normal rain), the tape has come loose. I take away only one star because these conditions are far from ideal and it’s hard to expect anything to stick well to outside wood in that wood is porous, so gets soaked from the rain and I just don’t think tape can be expected to stick.

☆ No More Slipping When ヘ(○ゝз・)ノ┌┛To The 🚽
I purchased the anti-slip grip tape (that's glow in the dark) for us to use. Even though my Dad renovated last year and installed tile in the new restroom, the ones he bought and installed turned out to be a tad bit too slick. Since then, even though we've been cautious when going to the restroom, the incline that these tiles were used on can cause one to slip and fall if they aren't cautious. After slipping a while back and aggravating my hip sprain as a result, I made up my mind to purchase this out of necessity. Today my Dad got around to installing it, and as you can see by the photographs, it's just what we needed. Thanks to this glow in the dark grip tape we can avoid anymore unfortunate accidents from happening, even in the dark! Another plus side is that the roll we got is soo incredibly thick that we'll be set for a quite awhile! ╰(✧∇✧╰) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ P.S: Recently put some on my M+D Crutch since the silicone grip strip that comes with the lateral crutches doesn't work to keep it from sliding off the table. With these grips it's a tad bit more sturdy and stays in place, but it's not without it's downsides since the grip if directly grabbed can scrape my skin off or that of anyone helping me.

Pretty good but pressure is key while applying
I made some wooden ramps out of 2x4's so you can drive the car up on this and have been access to clean the tires. Obviously as wood ages is get slippery so I figured I give these a try. I clean the wood with some rubbing alcohol and let them dry for a few hours. Then apply these traction tape to each piece of wood. The adhesion was ok, but to really lock it in you need to apply a good amount of weight and pressure to it for it to really stick. For my application where a car or truck is is driving up on this and getting blasted with a pressure washer, I know these likely will only last a few seasons, but for the cost, that's ok. Not to mention I have a lot left over. So far I'm happy with it.

Heavy tape and simple to install!
Purchased this about a week ago via Prime. I need the anti-slip tape for a pressure treated ramp that leads into my shed. It is fairly steep and when it gets damp it becomes extremely slippery. I had taken 2 falls on it before I got smart enough to make this purchase. The tape is a good weight and appears to have excellent adhesion qualities. It was simple to cut and install and no issues with the tape bunching up. So far I am impressed. I will follow-up after a couple of heavy rains and a seasons worth of use. There is a lot of competition in this market, but I think I made a great choice. Update: After several months and a very wet summer the tape at the top of the ramp is starting to lift - bummer.
