I used this to section a pear tree, working from the top down. 1st I used the KEO to take out the medium-sized branches at the top. I used a hand axe to chop into the trunk to make it less work to cut and for it to fall in that direction. I had 2x3.0Ah Li-Ion battery packs and 1x2.6Ah and used a Faithful 300mm blade with 6tpi for coarse wood cutting. Bosch do a better 1 but its only 240mm. There are 2 gears so I chose the higher one to saw faster. The tool is a tad heavy to hold at arms length but I used it, guiding the blade from side-to-side and easily cut into the trunk. At the top it was ~200mm and the base was ~350mm. The batteries were used up quite quickly though and I had to recharge 2 of them before I did 6 sections. Only thing I didn't like was the SDS tool-holder only has 2 positions, the DeWalt has 4 which would have been easier to hold. I also regularly took the blade out, blew out the sawdust and sprayed the blade with WD40 (which cleaned out the bindings and lubricated it). Worked very well, now I only have to cut the thick trunk sections in half ;p Its worth noting this fits in the 3rd largest L-Boxx, the 238 and has 2 inlays, 1 supports the saw which is butt-end up and the other covers it, quite a large carry case ;p I put it in a medium-sized Draper toolbag with a few batteries and saw packs as its easier to carry around. EDIT: I used the saw and a log splitter wedge with maul to split the sections, worked very well

I was really disappointed with this product and their chase experience. I feel this type of saw is totally over rated. It is Bosh so it is good, but I would never buy a same type against.

Fiquei decepcionado com a forma como me enviaram o produto. Estou acostumado a comprar produtos da BOSCH através dos sites da Magazine Luiza, Ponto Frio, Loja do Mecânico, etc.. Inclusive, comprei recentemente na própria Amazon uma plaina eletrica Bosch. A serra sabre veio muito suja, com várias manchas e riscos. Geralmente os produtos da Bosch vêm no mínimo envoltos em uma sacola plástica, mesmo quando o produto é fabricado na China, como no caso desta serra sabre. Infelizmente desta vez veio simplesmente em uma caixa bem "detonada". Fiquei com a incômoda sensação de que o produto foi usado. Não resta dúvidas que os produtos da Bosch são excelentes, mas desta vez me decepcionei com a aparência e apresentação do produto, que não tem a aparência de um produto novo. Até a lâmina da serra aparenta ter sido usada. Decepcionante...
