Solid product - Good instructions & Slim Profile
I recently upgraded several outdated, ungrounded outlets in my older home with the ELEGRP 15 Amp GFCI outlets, and was quite satisfied with them. While ungrounded wiring isn’t ideal, we're renting and these GFCI outlets offer a little safety upgrade and allow us to use 3 prong plugs where needed.Pros:Slim Design for Tight Spaces: The thinner design of the ELEGRP GFCI outlets made installation smooth, even in small, outdated outlet boxes. They fit perfectly where other outlets might be a tight squeeze, which was a huge plus for me.User-Friendly Installation: The instructions included with these outlets are clear and detailed, making it easy to understand how to identify your line vs. load wires. This is especially helpful for those who may not be as familiar with electrical work.Sleek Screwless Faceplates: I wasn’t sure I’d like the screwless faceplates at first, even after the first couple of installs. But, after getting used to them I like them a lot. They provide a clean, modern look, snap on easily, and elevate the overall appearance of the outlets.Self-Test Functionality: The built-in self-test feature adds peace of mind, ensuring the outlet functions correctly and providing enhanced safety for everyday use.Extra Installation Tips:Have Wire Nuts Ready: Although wire nuts aren’t required for the install (and ideally shouldn't be used), having some on hand can help you easily determine your line vs. load wires. This ensures the installation goes quickly and easily.Follow the Instructions Carefully: The line vs. load setup was reversed compared to my older Leviton two-prong outlets, but following the instructions step-by-step resolved any confusion.Overall, the ELEGRP GFCI Outlet is a fantastic option for modernizing old outlets. Its combination of easy installation, sleek design, and built-in safety features make it a top choice for both DIYers and professionals.Key Highlights:- Slim design fits easily into smaller outlet boxes- Clear instructions make identifying line vs. load wires straightforward- Screwless faceplates add a sleek, modern touch- Self-test feature ensures the outlet is always working correctly- Tamper-resistant for added safety, perfect for households with kidsI’ll definitely be purchasing more of these GFCI outlets for future electrical projects. Highly recommended for anyone looking to upgrade their home’s outlets with a safe, modern solution!

Low profile is the perfect size for limited space
I needed a replacement GFI that had limited space in the box. This worked out perfectly for the job. The receptacle for the job. The quality is good and feels heavy, they screws for holding the wires are strong and the installation and instructions are clear and easy. Obviously you should know a bit about doing a replacement before diving in but it’s a simple process just make sure the power is totally off before you dip in and try it

Looks nice, easy install, as advertised!
I got this setup to replace my old ivory plug and switch and to match my bathrooms fixtures. For the price you pay these are great to use and work great. They come tamper resistant and are UL listed. The led indicator light works as it should turns green when on and turns off when tripped. It was an easy swap from old to new and the screws matched the length of my old ones. I also went to their visit store and it made it easier to order the other things I needed because they have all their products listed and it makes it easier to color match. Highly recommend getting the screw-less covers because in my opinion they look so much better compared to the regular ones.

Very nice design and looks great with tiled walls.
Gorgeous outlet that unfortunately did not work. It happens sometimes. I will say we fully appreciate the sleek design and ease of installation. The outer cover clips in rather than screwing on, which makes it especially appealing.

Great Value !!!
Check your wire before you order. The screws are captive, so if you have the heavy 20 amp wire, it will be an easier install with more room under the screws if you order the 20 amp receptacle. You can use the 15, but it's a tight fit . Unit works as intended and is a great value. It even has a small green indicator light.

Getting The Wires Into The Terminals Is Frustrating. Poorly designed housing.
Updated: The company reimbursed me for the difficulties/annoyances... so while I still find it frustrating the way these were designed, its hard to argue that they didnt try to make it right. So, i hate these. But for different reasons than anyone else mentioned. These are designed in a way that makes wiring difficult. Specifically the housing/spacing around the screw terminal is too tight and the barriers are aggressive. I get that this will make it so if the terminal becomes disconnected, its not likely to move somewhere and cause a fire... but really, if the terminal becomes disconnected... you did something very wrong anyway. I really couldn't get my power cables in without using a lot of force or painfully/annoyingly maneuvering the wires. I ended up snipping off bits of plastic housing with small precision diagonal cutters to make a little more space to put my cables around the terminals and it went WAY better (specially, just like small curve about 2mm x 3mm in the black plastic far end so that the wire has space to curve around the screw before you tighten it down-- obviously dont cut through the plastic or use large tools for this and also user discretion). Maybe my technique is way off? But like, Ive done this before without issue, and the fact that my minor cosmetic-level modifications to the plastic around the terminals made it way easy to fit the power cables in supports that these are just designed poorly. As a result, before snipping, what used to take me ~10 minutes, took me half an hour as i fight with the outlet/wires and scrap up my hands.Additionally, its a little annoying that they diagrammed the wires with upsidedown outlets. I didnt notice that on my first one, and had to redo it... which made me really mad given the above.Honestly, if I had known how much extra time Id spend fighting these things, I would have spent more for different ones. That said, hopefully they'll improve the housing AND I the units did work fine once installed.Fire whoever designed the housing though.
