Great book. Enjoyable
This author has never disappointed me. I have read most of his books. This is no exception. It's well written and just brilliant for a Jackie fan like myself. Very glad he wrote it. Got kindle and audio book I liked it so much. Highly recommended for her fans.

Very interesting book
I was born in 1965 and even though I'm British, always felt a little of the Kennedy Mystique. I became intrigued as I grew older and have read many books by various authors about JFK, Jackie and the other Kennedys. I realised quite early on that they weren't nice people, but interesting ones. This book reinforced the opinions I formed about Jackie when I first started reading about her. She does very much appear to have had at least three distinct lives/personas. I think her son hit the nail on the head when he said albeit in anger, that she was the most materialistic person he knew. She was very selfish as well as having some other pretty unpleasant personality traits too, but this book more than some others I've read helps the reader understand why. Her manipulative bully of a mother obviously played a big role in it. Dallas must have been truly horriffic and I'm not sure how anyone could ever get over that, and not let it mould your personality afterwards. I found it monstrous that Jackie made the Nanny break the news of their father's death to Caroline and John, and that Janet reinforced the decision. But it sounds like they may have been more fond of Maud Shaw than their own mother, so perhaps it was best. There are characters I had never come across before, Janet's third husband for example and Ari's sisters, who were all interesting. It was a good read, and the writing style as always makes it an easy one. Jackie Kennedy Onassis was not a nice person, and it really was all about her, always, but this book fills in some gaps and helps you understand why she was the way she was, damaged goods.
