High hopes, underwhelming cooling
I really wanted to like this. The idea is great, but it just didn’t deliver the experience I was hoping for. The unit didn’t stay in place well, which made it hard to get consistent cooling where I expected it. Even when it was positioned correctly, the cooling effect was pretty minimal and didn’t feel strong enough to justify the price. The design looks sleek, but functionally it fell short. Might work better in very specific conditions, but for wearable cooling that involves a lot of moving around, I’d look elsewhere.

Doesn’t help cool at all
was hoping this item would provide some relief for the lack of AC in my work truck but it doesn’t do much even when it’s only 75 degrees out. The contact plate does get cold as it turns, but the air vents on it constantly crank out hot air down your back and up the back of your neck as a result so you end up sweating more in the area this “cooling device” is than anywhere else. Maybe if the vents were set up differently it would help but the way it is it’s useless for cooling. I’m sure it would be good for heat in the winter though judging by how much hotter it made me.

It actually works!!! :0
Was skeptical about this device, but it actually works!!! HEAT mode works great which I had no doubt, but COOL mode works too!! This plus a fan should change the game in the summer or hot weather in general.

Budget device that does what it promises
I was bit skeptical of how effective it'd be given that similar devices from competitors like Embr and Sony are well double the price. So I was pleasantly surprised that it worked very well. As I own it for longer we shall see how useful this will be. One gripe is the ergonomics. The silicone holder doesn't quite work for me. It doesn't choke you by any means, but way it sit the metal plate is ever so slightly off from my skin which defeats the point of it all. Personally I find it much more useful to use it like a cold pack for that reason. If you can get them on sale it's definitely interesting device. Does what it advertises. Update : As I've just gone skiing with it when the temperature was -15F it failed to perform at all. Which was kind of expected but nevertheless bit disappointing.

Limited effectiveness: just grab an ice cube
I recently tried out the Black+Decker ComfortPack, intrigued by its dual functionality designed to offer both warming and cooling functions. Unfortunately, the product did not live up to expectations. While the warming feature provides mild heat, it barely reached a level I would describe as lukewarm, offering minimal comfort. On the other hand, the cooling function was notably ineffective, feeling akin to the touch of ordinary metal rather than the soothing coolness one might anticipate. For those seeking significant thermal relief, this product might not meet your needs. It might be more effective to explore alternative solutions that provide a more noticeable temperature change for therapeutic purposes. In its current form, the ComfortPack struggles to deliver the performance promised by its marketing.

It’s okish
Doesn’t stay cold once on your skin. Would love it to last longer. Was trying it out for my POTS and it wasn’t what I needed

Stopped working after only 2 months
I purchased this to use it for its cooling effect. When I first used this, it worked as described except for the battery life between charges; it was significantly less than indicated. However after only 2 months of irregular use, it neither cools nor warms but, the battery lasts much longer. As the manual states there are no serviceable parts, this was nowhere worth its purchase price and must now be discarded.

Doesn't really do much
I've looked for many body cooling options and decided to give this a shot. It hangs very weirdly around the neck and does not make a consistent enough difference on lowering body heat. A neck fan works much better than this thing. Cool idea but Japan probably has the more refined version of this.
