These things are definitely worth the higher price tag. I can't compare them to other cheaper options, but I can't imagine the cheaper options doing the job better than these. Big pro: They couldn't be easier to install and they stay in place pretty well. They are SUPER comfy. The fenestrated sheepskin does not run hot at all. And this is coming from someone who runs VERY hot. Also, I never find myself having to adjust them like I did with the stock Sennheiser cushions that I was using. They also do not alter the sound much at all. If anything, they amplify the base a bit and (in my opinion) improve the sound overall.

I bought these to replace the stock Sennheiser Massdrop produced 6xx. The supplied stock foam pads were irritating after usage. It is true that the earpads are very comfortable. It has been brought up before that the sound signature will change with the new pads. That it definitely true as the pad are very comfortable but yet very tall. The pad height is about twice the size as the stock pads. It will have you ears farther away than listening with stock pads. Stock Pads: A more flat midrange setup that requires a strong and matching amp to get the best out of the 6XX. The headphones are 300 ohms. Dekoni Pads: A more V shaped sounds as the mids are more recessed. If you do not want to sound to be changed for comfort than avoid this change. I have the Ibasso 150 so I do have options to work around the sound to make it work. I think that if the pads were slightly smaller in height that they could stay closer to the stock sound signature. I'm keeping these and will find a way to mod off to get the original sound back.

I got these with the little holes (called "fenestrated") in the leather surface because I assumed it would help with ventilation/cooling as compared to the smooth leather version (i.e. without the little holes) on warm and sweaty days. I don't really notice the cooling effect and the little holes give the surface a bit of a rough texture on my skin, which I'm in hindsight not a fan of. I also have the smooth leather version, which I much prefer. The quality and fit and finish is great though and I do recommend this brand. It's just for you to figure out whether you're the kind of person who likes the "fenestrated" vs. smooth version.

Fenestrated sheepskin Transforms headphones, open back ambient noise in the room is quieted by a more solid material compared to OEM. The inside foam will need to be reused from your old OEM pads. Overall they are comfy, breathable and give more of a punchy tone compared to OEM. High frequencies are slightly dulled but can be adjusted for with something like a Schitt Loki EQ to achieve comparable if not greater sound quality when compared to the OEM pads.
