This is a stunner of a bible and perfect for bible journalers, not only those who like the idea of colouring-in the pre-drawn images but also who want to unleash their creative side and draw their own pictures into the spaces. The pages are a cream colour (as opposed to white or ivory) and looks really classy. I had to return it as it wasn't a colourway suitable for the recipient but if I didn't already own a colouring bible myself, would have kept it in a heartbeat. It's also a flex cover which I find more tactile than a hardcover.For whom this is as important as it is to me, the Verse numbers are shown at the beginning of the sentence (ie they sit neatly underneath one another) so are really easy to find - no scrabbling about, mid-sentence, looking for them. If only all bibles did this!

This is simply beautiful, it's size is comfortable in your hand, it lies open flat with ease, ha s wonderful illustrations and plenty of room for your own designs or notes, lots of extras like the stickers and tabs in the back cover pocket, an thicker paper last few pages to really are your own style, but most of all, a lovely comfortable read, I can't put it down, it's wonderful.

I’ve had to knock off a star because the pages are too thin for effective journaling or art. You will have to bear this in mind when choosing the appropriate art medium, such as coloured pencils in this case, because any type of pen will bleed through no matter what the manufacturers claim.However, in it’s favour, none of these images are what I call ‘too fussy’ or over-detailed (although still very lovely) so can be completed in a relatively short time. There are wide margins for journaling but even a very fine tipped pen can easily show through. :-/ A plus is that the text is clear and black and not too small at 8.65 - unlike some others I have seen. I would describe the drawings as more ‘whimsical’ which I find endearing and unique and the KJV translation didn’t put me off. The fine binding and wipe-clean silver and lavender cover, with it’s pretty script and butterfly printed edges, is very aesthetically pleasing without going over the top. The addition of two silk ribbons, one lavender, one turquoise, is a nice touch and so is the open ‘envelope’ at the back that contained beautiful printed bible tabs and lots of free bible stickers to colour in. All in all I am pleased with my purchase and realise it would make a nice gift for a special friend or relative. I have accepted that no Bible is particularly good quality these days, so the thinness of the pages hasn’t deterred me from using it.
