My neighbor refurbishes furniture and cast iron stoves and was looking to save his back unloading them from his pickup. I often supervise the efforts. We rigged this up to the beam in his garage and now all he needs to do is back the truck up under the winch. It works well for the purpose. Mind these things can pull quite a few amps when giving her the old who-ahh, so run an old car battery between the power supply and winch to buffer the draw. Would be nice if the unit had a wireless remote, but at least being corded means it probably won't wander off.

I got this winch to replace my old one on my Honda rancher. I use the winch for the snowplow during winter. Installing the new winch was very simple and was a direct replacement. I no longer hurt my hands on the metal rope now with this new winch like I did with an old one.
