Good Quality, American Owned Business
There’s limited options available for hanging planters made from concrete. I prefer concrete as the media for growing succulents, as well as many other types of plants, because it promotes circulation and enables the pot to dry quickly. Anyways, that’s how I ended up buying these. Here’s some of the plants I have in them so far:1. Curio herreanus 'String of Raindrops.’ AKA: Senecio herreanus or herreianus.2. Curio Radicans ‘String of Bananas’3. Othonna Capensis ‘Ruby Necklace’4. Portulacaria afra 'Variegata'5. Sedum morganianum ‘Donkey Tail’ or ‘Burro's Tail’6. Senecio peregrinus ‘String of Dolphins’(On the next round, I’m going to use these to plant String of Pearls, Sedum Jelly Beans and Sedum Clavatum.)I’m not a huge fan of the shape, texture and colors (I like simple planters as to keep the attention on the foliage) but these aren’t TOO busy looking. So far, I’ve purchased 2 sets and will likely buy more in the future, when a good deal comes up. (Yeah, I’m a bit thrifty but I also have well over 400 plants, so I have to be careful, so I can save my $$$ for buying more plants, of course.)Perhaps the best aspect of these planters is the size. Not sure why so many sellers don’t understand how plants work and sell planters with funky dimensions! These seem to be designed by people who actually grow plants! I think they're the perfect size for potting up plants that come in 6” hanging nursery pots. As long as you can knock off some of the excess soil from the bottom and a tiny bit from the sides, they’ll fit nicely in here. Of course, they’re also great for potting up plants that need to graduate up from a 4” nursery pot. These hang better than most hanging planters out there but they’re still far from ideal. I’m also not a huge fan of twine but this is probably more of a “me” issue than a true reflection of the product’s quality. At this point, I’ve given up on attempting to balance out a couple of planters and just live with a little crookedness. From this perspective, chain is much better! (More reliable length.)Some of the plants I have in these planters have grown large and subsequently heavy (Eg: The String of Raindrops). These planters have not shown any signs of cracking or breaking so that’s freaking awesome!I also love how this is a small, American family-owned business. If this is indeed true (as in they procure all materials and actually make everything here) then I’ll definitely continue to support 23 Bees!Side note (not reflected in my rating of the product): I would prefer more environmentally friendly packaging but I’ve seen worse. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind old newspaper if it meant no styrofoam. I would even pay a little extra for this.

Cool product....
I love the look. The lengths of the ropes was slightly different for each pot making it hard to line up. I had to untie and adjust the pots to get them to be aligned. And then tape them....not a huge deal just took more time then expected.....love the look and would buy again. Getting alot of compliments on the look.

Cute, but a bit sloppy
Cute and a good size, but the paint job on all of them was very patchy and sloppy, as you can see in the photos. Maybe it's supposed to be "rustic" but it just makes them look uneven and cheap. I might not mind this in my own home, but I bought them as a gift. The other issue I had was with the plugs in the bottom- it came with the plugs on the INSIDE of the pots, which does no good -- once it's filled with soil you can't remove it to drain excess water. I was able to swap it to go in from the outside on one pot, but on the second pot it wouldn't fit from the outside. The third pot came with no plug at all. It's a pretty minor problem, but it means I have to scrounge around to find something else to use as a plug, which is extra work when it should just be included.Because of those two issues I removed one star, but they should still do the job just fine.

Look great. Work great.
These came within a few days of ordering. Packaging seemed a little over the top (styrofoam in a box within another padded box), but they arrived in great condition. The planters themselves look as expected in the photos. They have a raw, unpolished concrete feel to them, and the brown leather-type hanging cord compliments the style. Please be aware that these are a little heavy for their size (concrete material), and will only get heavier with plants and water. Mine are hanging on a commercial plumbing pipe that's been studded to concrete walls, so I'm not worried.I also like the hole and plug at the bottom for drainage. I moved the plug from inside the planter to the outside, so I can access the drainage anytime without having to move the plants.Note:The cords that that hold the planter are knotted at each end to keep them from coming through the holes in the planter. Some of the holes seemed a little too big for the knot. Worried that the knot would slip through the holes with the extra weight, I twisted each end again to ensure a big enough stopper. They've been hanging for about a week now, and they feel really sturdy.I also wish the seller would provide more of the cord to extend the hanging. I had to jimmy some chain and a shower curtain hook to have the planter low enough for me to reach it for watering. Would've been nice to have a single type of material to hang the whole thing.

Really nice pots!
Good quality, cute! If you hang them high, be aware that the bottom is painted one color and not with the polk-dots pattern on the pots themselves. On one pot, the bottom paint job is not great. However, they are a little rustic anyway, so I feel that gives them some charm. Would have preferred a bit thicker hanging string or macrame. I may replace the strings. These are perfect for succulents, too! Came well-packaged with care. Colors are subtle and blend in well with anything. I was worried about the light green pot because I have no green in my kitchen, but it still blends in well.

Perfect hanging planter
I love this hanging planter! I would personally say that it’s more gray than tan and that is exactly what I wanted. My bedroom is gray with black and white accents so it matches perfectly. The pot itself is made out of cement and is a good thickness. The rope seems sturdy. There is a clear plug in the bottom where the drain hole is which is a nice feature. I like how it is handmade, so my guess is that they are each slightly different. Is the perfect length to hang from my bedroom ceiling without it being low enough to bump my head on. Would buy again for sure.
