Useful to me as kindling to keep my primary fuel split logs burning.
Not what I expected but have found them useful as kindling! The "kiln-dried" split logs I purchased from HD have proven to be NOT KILN-DRIED as they burn for about an hour and the start dying out. So, I use three or four of the subject small pieces from Amazin to restart things and get the big pieces burning again. For that function, I will reorder when their supply dwindles.
