Large but Very thin plastic
These are a nice size but the pack of 10 came with 2 cracked. One of the 2 was unusable for its intended purpose as the crack was large and almost had the top in 2 pieces. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Not double bagged, missing lot information and my single bag was punctured.
Professionally, I've spent the past decade or so working for companies with ISO certified cleanroom space. We buy sterile agar plates to test surfaces and air for contamination in the cleanroom. The best sterile plates are generally marked as sterile and double bagged to ensure that the seal remains intact. The outer bag is wiped prior to entering into a clean space. Then, operators open the outer bag carefully to extract the inner bag without touching the outer bag, and they are then transferred to the "cleaner" clean space.United Scientific's plates are single bagged, making it difficult to use them in a truly clean lab space. The plates are all intact, but the outer bag collected a lot of dust and warehouse gunk. There's also a small puncture in the bag, which means that they are no longer sterile. There is no C of A included with the shipment either. The plates themselves are fine. Since they're plastic, you can't autoclave and reuse them and there's a pretty high likelihood that the single bag will be damaged on arrival. There is also no lot information on the packaging for traceability. If you truly require a 100% sterile plate, I'd suggest choosing a different brand. If you want to do a fun science project with your kids though, these will do. For my use at home in culturing mycelium as a hobby, they'll work fine.

Lid's Are at Least 0.5cm too big VERY FLIMSY
The lids are at least 1/4-1/2CM too big for the bottoms. I was planning to use these for bugs to take photos, but it's pretty much useless. VERY, very flimsy and breakable. I would suggest finding another brand. Petrie dishes should not have such a huge gap. In addition, it's not sterile if it comes packaged the way it did--not that it matters for my purposes. I've used petrie dishes in a lab, and they definitely aren't supposed to be like these.

These are made of plastic but are okay
These are shallow so I am using these for water dishes for amphibians and lizards. These are perfect water dishes and great for the price.

Brittle and sharp edges. Not for amphibian use.
These are thin and brittle petri dishes. Easy to break when working with agar, and definitely not good for dart frogs, as one cut itself on the sharp edge when feeding.
