Quick and simple to install and works great. Definitely saved money on doing it myself. The dealership wanted a arm and leg to do this simple fix.

Easy to install and a perfect fit for 2012 Kia Rio hatchback

Initially looked great. However, then came the install. The plastic clips on the sides of the switch do not extend far enough to be fully secure when inserted into the handle. Had to modify it by sticking pieces of foam under the clips so they would extend further but still be flexible enough to clip into the tailgate handle. The electrical connection is wrong. If you force it to fully connect (and it looks like it will initially), the switch won’t work. If you insert it about half way, it’ll work, but only sometimes. 50/50 at best and the connection is tested and confirmed to be intact, so the switch itself is faulty. At least the lock/unlock button works consistently. So a small win. Looks nice, functions poorly.

Switch fits in opening, retainer tabs less robust than factory switch. Electrical connection does not fit in my 2014 Pathfinder. Unfortunately, I had to wait on good weather before trying the installation, as the liftgate should remain open while making the repair. I ended up having to undo the electrical connection and jump out the pins on the door to get the latch to open again.
