You’ll need some strength to use it.
This is an easier way to core an apple and slice it into 8 pieces. You need strength and use of force to get through an apple. If the apple is a little irregular the core isn’t removed completely. I found I needed to cut the slice thinner for most uses. It sure beats Cori g an apple with a knife.

Very Cool Product!
I LOVE how this folds up flat! it also puts all of the "wet" juices from the apple on the inside, so when you carry it (it is just a little too big to put in your pocket - but otherwise it couldn't slice the bigger apples) it doesn't get wetness all over you. Everything holds together - even the bottom "cutting board" which is a must in order to cut the apple all the way through. We use this on our cruises to cut apples into slices so we can put peanut butter on the slices. The cruise lines don't allow you to take a knife on board to cut apples, so this is the next best thing.

Next Gen
Replacement for the earlier one piece type. The bottom helps get a complete slice, and also makes it self-contained in your gadget draw.

Love the Fold-Up Handles
My old apple corer was forever getting caught when opening the utensil drawer, so when I saw this one, I had to give it a try. It solves the snagging problem and is a nice looking tool. Thus far, three months in, there is no sign of rust. If I had the ability to improve it, I would make the cutting blades a tad sharper so the effort to cut through the apples could be reduced. That said, I would still buy it again.
