ARRL Antenna Book for Radio Communications 25th Edition – The Ultimate Reference for Antennas, Transmission Lines, and Propagation [ARRL Inc.] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. ARRL Antenna Book for Radio Communications 25th Edition – The Ultimate Reference for Antennas, Transmission Lines, and Propagation Review: The Antenna Bible - I've been involved with Ham Radios now for just over a year. After you get your first license and your first HT, you'll almost certainly start asking how you can get better range out of your radio. After you burn through buying a handful of antennas you'll quickly start asking deeper questions about what works and how it works. All of Ham Radio works like this, at least for me. You jump in blind and try a bunch of stuff, then you start wanting more knowledge. Well, the ARRL books are where you can go to get that. This is a thick tome that is stuffed full of information and diagrams. As you learn, you'll dig deeper and looks up more in this book. It's a great guide and reference to have in your shack along with one of their ARRL Annual Handbooks. I am planning my first antenna build now that I have a better grip on this subject. My only regret is that I should have bought the boxed set for this guide. I would have liked the smaller (and lighter) volumes to this thick heavy book for when I am away from my shack. Review: I love the book; all ham radio operators should consider getting the book - I love the book; all ham radio operators should consider getting the book. I am look forward to my next antenna build. 73

Worth every penny.
I am a general class ham studying for my extra class and there is far more antenna theory here than I understand; however, this is going to help me learn it in time and there are plenty of straightforward antenna projects that you can jump right on without knowing the ins and outs. Plenty of just down and dirty plans. This is a huge book and well worth the price. You'll be reading this for years and referring to it often. A must-have reference for any shack. I myself am building a skywire now that came from plans in this book. Didn't even know it existed before.

Great Reference, last years book
Well packaged, good price, the new edition is out, so....this is a lower price solution, has the information changed that much in 1 year. Great value because of free quick shipping.

Chalkboard Physics
Not impressed! I'm an engineer and remember three grad students who knew a lot of theory, but couldn't figure out how to change a tire...or even which way to turn the lug nuts. (true story). Now I know where they ended up.

No access to supplementary files with my copy.
Access to supplemental information by online link or cdrom was not included with my copy. Importantly, HFTA software not provided. Unfortunately, issue discovered too late to return book for exchange or refund. Attempts to resolve issue of missing files through ARRL were unsuccessful. I wish to update my review to note that I was able to get the supplemental files from ARRL by contacting the publishing department using the email address in the front of the book. I received a prompt reply with a link where I was able to download the correct files. Therefore, the book and supplemental materials are excellent and deserve 5 stars.

Wanted this book for a long time, to replace my 1980s copy. If you're looking at it on Amazon, then you probably already know all about what's in it. The supplementary info is available, if you contact the ARRL, after delivery, as they are the supplier. They were instantly helpful, despite being across the pond, and I was able to download the extras with no problems,

The 24th edition of the ARRL's Antenna Book. The book itself is well-know reference book for amateur radio operators. Big parts of the book are available as online resources. I gave one star review and decided to send the book back, because it came without the access code for the online resources. The book itself was shrink-wrapped and looked new, so I'm not sure if this is an issue with ARRL, or with the individual book I received.
