Like others mentioned, the sponge did break after a few scrubs but it didn’t bother me because it was towards the end of the product lifecycle. It is okay for minor scuff marks and grime but not great for mud or overly grubby sneakers (context, rain and associated grime that magically attaches to shoes in such environment). From my experience the image feels like a "serving suggestion" that is not as accurate as it claims.
