Do they come enclosed in a metal case please?

Yes, they are in metal containers so they can be placed where you wish and they won’t leak. They also come packaged in a natural fabric drawstring bag which keeps the nicely and can be repurposed when empty. I’m on about my fifth set of these now, hope that helps.
