Works well at caravan in Berwick where signal is poor

Having searched the forums for suggestions for a RELIABLE mobile internet set up for my boat, I went for a Huawei B535 Router and needed an external antenna to support it. Many people were suggesting the Poynting but I preferred the aesthetics of the Kuma. Well, looks aren’t everything and the signal was non existent! Thankfully, I’d also purchased a Poynting XPOL and after swapping the leads, the difference was like night and day! From 0/5 signal Bars to 4/5!! So, if you’re looking for a good external antenna to support a mobile SIM card router avoid the Kuma, it’s absolute junk!

I purchased the KUMA E-Zi 5G Antenna after a lot of research as a cost-effective solution to improve reception on my 5G router. Installation was straightforward, but the instructions were a bit unclear — you really need the OpenSignal app to find the mast direction in your area. At first, I had trouble using the app on my iPhone, but discovered it works properly on an Android device. I ended up positioning the antenna on my roof and adjusting it several times to get the best reception. After a couple of months, my signal dropped dramatically, and my upload speed became higher than my download speed, which made my internet speeds fell. I tested by reverting to the router’s original small antenna in my loft, and the signal returned — so I concluded the first antenna was faulty. I contacted customer service, and I was very impressed with their support. A kind representative sent a replacement next day, which I installed in my loft. After re-wiring and reconnecting, everything worked perfectly again. Overall, I recommend this product, but keep in mind that achieving the best 5G signal depends on several factors, particularly the direction of the mast in your area. Despite having to go on my roof a few times and replace the faulty unit, I’m happy with the antenna and the excellent customer support.

Just fitted this to our caravan and it has worked great with out TPLink Mr200 router giving us around 30mbps inside a metal shed! Unfortunately the threaded part was too short to go through the caravan roof enough to put the nut on so it is held with its own seal and siliconed on but looks really neat and tidy, the wires are also a little long but our aerial os right above the router whereas others may have to go further

I don’t know how to get a boost for my internet with this but I couldn’t find it relevant or even recommendable a because this does not increase my 5G internet signal at all and I have tried to use many speed test applications to see the internet signal and I always got same bad results. Would be helpful if I could have a technical assistant to come at my place to re-install and check if I did something wrong or the antenna needs to be replaced!

Kuma E-zi directional antenna . After speaking with Kuma customer service I took the plunge to purchase the E-zi antenna as they assured me I should see better speed than the puck that was included with my KUMA CONNECT PRO – 4G CONNECT LiTE Router + 4G LTE Roof-Mounted Pro Antenna kit , the E-zi was not available when I purchased the connect pro. From start to finish the installation was easy just make sure you use an app to find the direction of a mast and then aim the unit in the right direction and check your app for a speed test then in small increments move the E-zi unit and do another speed test once you are happy that you have the best figures you can get gently tighten the unit in position. I have given 5 stars for ease of installation and value but only 4 stars to weatherproof as I haven’t had the unit outside that long but should there be any problems Kuma offer a 2 year warranty so no need to worry . The attached figures show my Connect Pro with just the internal antennas fitted (top figure) then with the omni puck external antenna (middle figure) and then with the E-zi directional antenna (bottom figure) . Based in rural Devon with no line of sight due to the rolling hills , very impressed this is one item that won’t be returned to Amazon and a much better internet connection than BT broadband, SIM card used was Vodafone but have also ordered a sim from smarty to try that . If your in doubt just contact Kuma customer service if only all customer service’s where like them , excellent.

Installed easily, instructions very simple. Took my 12 Mb/s download speed to 38 Mb/s used with Kuma connect lite 4g on EE . Good quality coax, Sadly it needed SMA adapters as they are different connections despite being the same brand that’s why I gave it four stars.

N’est pas satisfaisant. Capte moins bien que mon téléphonique. Ça ne fonctionne pas comme je m aurais espéré. J’utilise donc le modem seul.

Possiedo un router 4g/5g modello ZTE MC801A e vivo in una località con ricezione 5G difficile. Dopo aver sperimentato due antenne da interni omnidirezionali per migliorare la ricezione del segnale 5g (banda n78), con buoni risultati, ho deciso di provare anche questa antenna direzionale "KUMA PLAY". Ben posizionata e orientata verso la BTS di interesse fissandola ad una finestra grazie alla funzionale ventosa, mi ha permesso di migliorare ulteriormente potenza (NR RSRP) e soprattutto rapporto segnale/rumore (SINR) della connessione alla banda N78, ottenendo così ulteriore stabilità. In sintesi, si tratta di un'antenna (per lo più da interni) funzionale, dal costo modesto, che nel mio caso ha fatto egregiamente quel che speravo. Data la natura del mio router, il "segreto dei miglioramenti" è consistito nel poterla collocare laddove il segnale 5g arriva meglio (parte alta della finestra) lasciando il router poggiato alla base della finestra stessa, ove le bande 4g sono già ben ricevibili dalle antenne interne. Promossa a pieni voti.

Seem to work good, quality construction, good price, easy install, most definitely helped reception, if they continue to perform in 6mo. I'll be a happy camper & What Not.

Appena arrivato e ho fatto subito il reso. nello scatolo trovo tutto alla rinfusa e le buste contenenti i bulloni aperta e guarda caso mancava proprio un bullone per serrare l'antenna al supporto. mi adeguo alla situazione e noto subito il cavo lesionato, solo la parte della guaina esterna ma comunque tagliato. lo collego attacco al modem e ho una perdita di segnale di 100 mb. sono passato da 300 a 200 tenendo in considerazione che a 300 ci arrivavo solo con il modem. prodotto inutile e sconsigliato non vale la pena comprarlo.
