Just what our son was looking for.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five Stars (Would Give 10 if Amazon Let Me!) We picked up the Legendary Whitetails Men’s Flannel Lined Shirt Jacket (Waxed Cotton, Water Resistant) for our son, and it has been an instant favorite. He absolutely loves the fit, the color, the weight, and the overall style. It’s one of those pieces that looks good while still being practical, which isn’t always easy to find. The waxed cotton gives it a sturdy, well-made feel without being stiff, and the flannel lining adds just the right amount of warmth for cooler days. It’s comfortable, versatile, and clearly designed with both function and style in mind. If we could give it a 10/10, we would—but since we’re limited to five stars, this one gets all five without hesitation. Highly recommended.

Great jacket
Great quality although one of my lapel pocket snaps isn’t set right it closes, but not as securely as the rest. It’s pretty well priced for what it is and I really appreciate the sizing chart because it fits perfectly and very comfortably. It’s a lightweight jacket which makes it great to pair with something thicker for a bit more warmth as it grows colder. It keeps me pretty warm for the fall, but by winter I’m putting on my thicker coat. Love the style it very much evokes the look of an older style jacket. Great job Legendary Whitetails.

Impressive quality. Versatile use.
This jacket punches above its class. Comparable with jackets twice the price. I was going to get a Huckberry, but I’m glad I picked this instead. The stitching is very good, the materials are very good, and the wax is decent. It’s surprisingly thin and light, but in a good way. I felt warm with this jacket and a thin short sleeve in 35f. Indoors, I’m still comfortable and don’t feel hot like in other jackets. I’m able to move without restriction and feel confident placing it however I want. It looks very sharp overall. After standing it on a hanger for a day, the wrinkles and creases came out. Regardless of how I store it, I’m not worried about wrinkles. The style subdues any wrinkles, and they work themselves out naturally through normal wear. I only have one negative: the badge on the left sleeve. It feels tacky and the embroidery doesn’t match the quality of the jacket.

Good, light, shirt jacket. Buy on sale.
I like this shirt jacket. Great to wear in the same tempatures that you'd wear a hoodie ~40°F - 60°F. Not bulky at all and just feels like you are wearing a more flexible and slightly warmer denim coat. I would wash it as soon as you get it to wash out the excess dye (wash it alone and on delicate. Tumble dry low heat). I am removing one star for the following reasons: I believe Legendary Whitetail, while a manufacturer of good material quality clothing, has a few Quality Control problems. Loose strings hanging off random parts of the jacket; the fact that they don't pre-wash or pre-shrink any of their garments; the flannel separating from small parts of the shell of the jacket the day after I bought it. I don't get that feeling of integrity that you can sense from other manufacturers. Namely Carhartt (even though their quality can be a bit up and down at times) and at near $100 price point, no less. I paid about $50 bucks for this shirt jacket, and you shouldn't pay any more than that. If you want a shirt jack that has better quality for the listing price of this jacket, go with a Carhartt. However, for $50, I don't regret my purchase. And credit is given where due.

Bought twice, would buy again
I bought this jacket first five years ago and ordered a large, which was my standard size at the time. What I got back then was a quality jacket but one that could be a bit uncomfortable to wear given that the arms were insulated with a weird material and it also ran quite small. Still, I rather liked it and thought it looked really nice, so I wore it until I put on some weight and outgrew it. Eventually ordered a new one in XXL, which is what I order in jackets now because I like them to be a little loose and baggy when I'm at work, my t-shirt size is XL. New version of the jacket is of even higher quality. The material it's made of still feels strong but is very very smooth almost like suede, and the arm insultation is vastly better. The XXL feels like it ran a little big this time, as it's quite loose on me now, moreso than other jackets I order in that size, but for me this is fine. I could easily wear a big sweater or hoodie with it in cold weather and still fit comfortably. If you're unsure, I would say you would likely be safe ordering this in your usual size even if you like things to hang a little looser. I bought the brown/'tobacco' color and it is an extremely attractive jacket I feel like I could wear a lot of places from my messy custodial job to mountain hiking to dinner at like a sit down sushi place. It's of a quality and appearance that I feel you could wear this on a date or a night out and you would look quite nice. The buttons look quite nice and are kind of a weathered brass look. Previous jacket had a problem with the wrist buttons coming undone constantly, seems to be fixed in this one. The flannel insulation is not thick and I would consider this more of a spring/fall jacket, but I could easily layer it if the temperatures dropped.

Durable, Attractive, Multi-Functional Shirt/Jacket
I purchased various Legendary Whitetails Men's Journeyman Shirt Jackets as Christmas gifts for my husband, my two sons, and my two nephews. The gifts were well received. They were a big hit at our family Christmas party. The only complaint I overheard came from the boys wanting more of them. This particular shirt/jacket is definitely more of a jacket than a shirt. I mentioned that I ordered several different colors and styles of this brand. Fortunately, the son who attends college in Boulder ended up with this one. All of the other Legendary Whitetails Shirt/Jackets I ordered were more on the shirt side of a shirt/jacket. This worked out well for us because we live in Louisiana, my other son is in Pharmacy school in the deep south, and my two nephews live in Texas. This Shirt/Jacket is exceptionally comfortable and is good for colder weather. It's not clothing you would want to keep on while inside. Regarding sizing, my son said it is true to size. He is a true Medium in nearly everything I purchase. He's 20 years old, 5'10 or maybe 5'll, and about 160 pounds. He works out and is fit, but has broad shoulders. I bought a size Medium for my husband as well. He is 170, 5'10. My other son is about the same height and weight. They can easily wear a shirt, sweatshirt, hoodie, or turtleneck beneath the shirt/jacket. I suggest ordering your normal size unless you like your jackets to fit baggy or you are larger in the stomach area. If you live in the north or midwest and plan on layering more than one article of clothing under the shirt/jacket, you may want to consider the bigger size. This shirt/jacket is a remarkable deal for the price. Everyone who received one as a gift from me has worn theirs multiple times. The jackets look better now -- with that worn-in look. It keeps the bitter cold of Michigan from biting and protects from harsh wind. The shirt/Jacket has several interior and exterior pockets. I can tell when someone genuinely likes a gift and this topped our family Christmas bestseller list and has already been added to the repeat performer list for 2022. If you're looking for a heavier shirt/jacket for colder months, one that you can layer or wear over a sweatshirt or hoodie, this is for you. If you are looking for a lighter-weight shirt/jacket that you can leave on indoors then I would try one of Legendary Whitetails many other shirt/jacket options. Overall, this is a fabulous product. It outperforms competitors in value, purpose, and appearance. That’s a winner in my opinion

Not as pictured
Quality but not as pictured. It’s basically black with different orange stitching. And slightly too long. First complaint with legendary white tails. Love there flannels and size because usually things made to tight and slim now

Love it 3 compliments in 2 days, extremely well made
Was the price high or a flannel lined shirt, yes. But, the quality was amazing and the fit was solid. I have gotten 3 compliments on it in 2 days. 2 were in a tech environment around Product Managers, Tech Support and Devs. 1 compliment was from a friends wife who is very put together. I work in an office that can get cold in the winter which is why I bought it. My wife noted that it doesn't look like a jacket so people will raise and eyebrow if I wear it every day. The outside has the feel of waxed cotton and I fully expect Seattle rains will bead up in a walk to the car. It was just warm enough to where in the office all day long. When I got into my car on a high 40's morning it felt a little chilly but not bad. Color was consistent and what I expected. While it is a jacket you could get away with buttoning it up and stuffing it in your pants and no one would question it. Everyone like the style of this jacket. At $70 it's quality stands out, at $100 you feel you overpaid until you really look at the quality.
