Good quality, works well.
This is well built and easily attached to my extension ladder. I have a very steep roof and this allowed we to replace all 1,500 plus old nails with new roofing screws. Well worth the investment. Did need to tighten a couple of bolts from all the jostling around it received, but that was easy.

It works!
Couldn't really get them too tight on my Little Giant ladder, but they are secure enough that while a bit loose, they will not come off.I would have liked the over-the-roof hook be a bit longer and with a more solid-rubber grip (for my steep steel roof). But the foam-rubber grips are getting the job done. I doubt I would have bought these if I climbed roofs for my livelihood. But for a DIY guy like me, they'll do for household maintenance.Don't know if it matters to buy this brand or any of the myriad of made-in-China identical clones sold on Amazon. But this is working for me!

Save your gutters!
I love this. Now I don't have to lean my ladder up against my new gutters any more. Great idea!!!

Plan a trip to the hardware store
Instructions read Hx8. 10 are needed. Only 8 are supplied. Very poor instruction and missing hardware.

Needs drilling and missing hardware
Not a bad product. Plan on a little drilling and grinding to make it work. Mine was also missing a couple screws that I had to replace. If you have the capability to do some minor modifications it’s not bad. If you don’t then pass on this. Not ready to go out of the box

Dangerous without custom upgrades
The idea for this contraption is nice, but it fails in a lot of ways that make it unsafe.1) Design: because of the way that it pieces together, it has stress points that could inevitably cause the bolts to snap, which you never want to happen when you're up on a roof. I had to make custom steel brackets to keep it from bending and stressing in order to feel safe using it.2) Hardware: the hardware provided is terrible. There are no lock washers, and the nuts are not lock nuts. You do not want to trust cheap hardware with your life. The nuts also immediately started rusting. You either need to add lock washers or lock nuts if you're going to use this at the minimum. You also need to flip the U-bolts upside down when attaching to the ladder, or they'll dig into your roof (how did they not think of this?), I noticed that issue immediately and turned them around before using it.3) Grips: the grips are super cheap and literally ripped up just using the ladder a few times. I bought 1" bicycle handlebar grips, which was expensive, but they will last forever compared to the garbage that was included. As much as they're charging for this, it should include better grips and hardware4) Metal: the metal provided seems ok, but it will start to crush as you tighten the nuts. I think it's good enough to be safe, but they really cheaped out on every aspect of this productSummary: I would definitely not trust this thing with your life, unless you add your own custom steel brackets to keep it from bending, and use proper hardware like lock washers and/or lock nuts. At that point, I feel satisfied with it. But expect to spend an additional $40~ to make it safe

Easy to use
Had to have two sets so could climb up on the roof to clean the chimney before winter. Worked great!
