A story with a great lesson
A story with a lesson.Often stories string a lesson in less obvious ways, but in this case, the obvious lesson plays into its humor in a really good way. We giggle as we anticipate Frank’s mistakes and laugh as we learn from his grandfather’s advice. A fun, fun book watching a character develop! The illustrations match the colorful story, enhance the fun action with unique and expressive characters.#picturebookwithlessons #themoralofthestory #picturebooks #characterdevelopment

Teaching children tactfulness
When my son was little, he didn't understand being tactful. I use this book in my classroom to teach tactfulness while teaching the importance of honesty. Excellent resource for classrooms or your own children.

Great lesson on kind words
A cute funny story about how to be truthful without being hurtful. I think young children will enjoy the lesson Frank learns about “being” frank!

Perfect for us!
This book is a wonderful read with one child of mine that is extremely “frank”. It can be used as a good read aloud for groups with eye catching illustrations and relative content or just as a one-on-one with a little one. In my opinion this is a fanatic book for families and elementary schools’ book collections.

Frank & Ernest lessons
This is a very cute book about being tactfully honest and demonstrates the adage "You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar," but in a fresh way. It's a very thoughtful book teaching kids to always be honest, but to be mindful of feelings and soften their approach. We bought the book to donate to my daughter's class for her birthday and are getting more for home and church! The illustrations are also vibrant and playful and keep my younger son interested as well.

You will treasure this book.
I love this book and have had a copy for a couple of years. I read it to my grandchildren. I recently bought another copy as a gift for a teacher because I love the message which is that you can be truthful and still be kind. Very humorous with characters kids can relate to. I highly encourage parents and teachers to get this book.Carol Hartsoe

Being Frank
"Being Frank" is well written and the illustrations bring Mrs. Earnhardt's characters to life. Not only is it fun to read but it also teaches a character lesson. The book can be enjoyed by elementary age children and those who can not yet read. I read the story to a three year old who loved it and asks to hear it again and again. The illustrations are engaging and holds the interest of the non-reading pre-schoolers.
