Q: Is a separate exhaust needed to run this engine? If so which one?

My son had one on his dirt bike already an you don’t have to have exhaust for it to run

Q: Is this a right side or left side drive? The photos show both.

The mounting holes are on the bottom. I purchased this as a replacement for my sons dirt bike motor. His clutch was fried and it was more practical to replace the engine. I only see it mounting one way. Chain on left side.

Q: Automatic transmission?

Basically it uses gear ratios in the gear box like a transmission.
