I used this on my own hair the day I got it and you CANNOT go wrong. I wanted a nice blunt cut and that is difficult to give yourself with medium length wavy hair. This made it EASY! I did the first trim a little longer than I wanted having it scoop down my neck. Then I wet my hair and redid it slightly shorted. Still need someone to cut your hair. Waste of money.

It works. I was able to fade my hair by myself. Don’t listen to bad reviews. If you know how to fade then this would work for self hair cuts. I also used it on my son who moves a lot and his hair looks amazing
