Great lego-like robot that you can control when finished!
The media could not be loaded. Pros:+ Pieces are well made, feel like Lego quality or better, and fit together snugly, come apart well/ durable+ Robot works, fast, fun to play with after being built+ Fun to see it all come together, and the way they made the treads is vert neat (36 pieces on each side that snap together well)Cons:- Instructions could be better. Some pieces weren't identifiable from the instructions. Some of the steps should have been reversed/ should be re-arranged. The 'rockets' have to be assembled in reverse order, or they can't be put together.- The remote control works upside down (buttons down). The controls (up down, left right) are reversed if you use it upright.-The robot works great on tile. On carpet it will fall over when you stop, because it's a bit top heavy, but doesn't on tile.Be forewarned it is a bit time consuming- just look at the number of parts. If I were to do it again, I would assemble the first part to get the first gears on it, then the last part, to get the treads on it, so you can actually play with it, then go through and do the rest of the aestetic portions of it.It's a cool Lego like project, and you can have a reasonably durable remote control robot afterwards. My nephew (9yrs old) was engrossed with it, and really wanted to see it all put together.Get it if you're looking for a fun, intricate, well made Lego-like project that you can drive around after you build it!

Very nice product !
Very nice product but definitively not for young children or with high support ! But it's a good product and the guide is correct.

Good introductory robot - Charge b4 assembly
“Number 5 is alive!” OK, I’m dating myself, but this was a lot of fun to see the kids working on. Right off the bat I want to say that although the box says 8+, it really depends on the child. My 8 year-old is pretty dexterous and didn’t have a problem handling the small pieces that had to be assembled, and yet a slightly older friend didn’t have as easy a time with them.I would say that with this introductory robot, the main benefit comes from the assembly and the thinking that it requires. Once it’s assembled, the functions are pretty basic so the kids tend to lose interest pretty quickly even at this age. However, I see that there are programmable versions out there and I might give those a try. This robot was a lot of fun for me to watch and for the kids to assemble. It requires a couple of batteries for the remote, and the main base/motor is rechargeable. I would recommend charging it before giving it to the kids because it was torture for them to wait while it charged. Also, the hardest part is probably assembling the tracks. Between two of my kids and a friend (with a little adult help here and there), they put it together in one afternoon and lost interest by the evening. Still, I would get it again, and like I said, I might get them a more advanced one.

My teenager girl likes it.
It took my daughter two nights to complete. The package is not super fancy, but it's a fun gift!

Great gift, fun and challenging.
So happy with this purchase!! I bought Max for my son for Christmas last year he’s 11 years old and neither nor him or my husband could figure the thing out $200 down the drain.I needed something less advanced, which was impossible to find , so I decided to look on Amazon and I came across this guy! This one is definitely a great purchase for a child between the ages of 8 and 14, it provides some challenge “, but also not frustrating to figure out.. which makes it actually fun to put together. Clear and Easy to read and follow instructions , it also came beautifully boxed, my son really loves it!! Recommended!!Worth the price!!

Great quality, price and quantity.
First, I have to say I made a mistake on this. I was originally looking for a flexible track and it is not. They are snap together segments which is much better making it adjustable for builds. Everything is great on this kit.

Missing Pieces
Missing quite a bit of pieces so could not build exactly as plans . Anyone else have this issue or maybe I just got a bad batch of them?
