Comfortable. Seems to help protect arm when going through tight spaces. Material is holding up extremely well.

Primarily using this in a transport chair for a patient's shoulder injury. This is a good product. It does have some wobble side to side when enveloping the chair armrest (that's why 4/5 stars) but here's the thing, the inside part that touches the body tends to stabilize it against the patient's torso, so honestly the wobble is not so bad. Results may vary if you have a very wide chair or patient is very skinny.I really wish the marketing pics were a little less dramatic because it is NOT as comically large as the pics lend you to believe. It's smaller and manageable as an armrest riser. I almost didn't buy it because of the perceived exaggerated size (think those big red boots).I am tempted to buy a second one just so theres some symmetry for the patient, but for now one is fine since injury is only on one side. The cover is also somewhat rubbery and looks like it wipes clean fairly easily which is also a huge plus.

I bought this for my father who is paralyzed on the left side. His arm is pretty much deadweight. So when he would sit in his wheelchair, it would fall and bang the left arm rest. He loves this and doesn’t have to bang his arm up anymore.

Cheaply made doesn’t hold onto wheelchair correctly wouldn’t recommend

I tried using the in the car but it doesn’t fit the seat very well.

This is a great product. This keeps my mother sitting up straighter in her wheelchair and cradles her arm nicely. Due to a stroke which left her left arm weak and a crippled hand this works great for her. There are other identical products for a much higher price but this was more affordable and does what we needed it to do. Very satisfied.

Good for supporting the hemiplegic arm, however the price was a bit too expensive

My wife was getting compression of the ulnar nerves which run on the outside of the arms from the shoulders to the hands. I suspect that it was from leaning on her arms on the typically hard armrests of her chair. I bought two of these cushions for her and I added a 2-inch wide of 1-inch thick, soft foam under the covers to fill in the depressions in the original foam meant to help hold the arms in place. Luckily her chair is wide enough to provide 2-inches on each side of her hips to allow the cushions to come down to rest on her Roho seat cushion. At the back the Skil-Care cushions are tucked between her U-Fit backrest and the armrests so are held in place and do not move. They support her arms well and eliminate pressure points. She no longer complains of numbness in her arms. As well, the sides of the cushions plus her backrest help keep her back straight and reduce the weight on her arms when she leans.

FIND IT INCREDIBLE THAT A SO CALLED CARE COMPANY CAN PACK AND SEND ACROSS THE ATLANTIC AN ITEM TO ASSIST A WHEELCHAIR USER IN A TOTALLY USELESS BADLY MANUFACTURED STATE. THE LEFT SIDE WING COMPLETELY BROKEN INSIDE A PERFECTLY SOUND UNDAMAGED BOX. AFTER HAVING TO WAIT FOR DELIVERY FOR URGENT USE IN A CARE HOME THIS ITEM ONLY SUCCEEDED IN CAUSING A GREAT DEAL OF UPSET AND ADDITIONAL WORK TO SEND IT BACK AGAIN.

Had to return as it did not fit properly and was not as expected.
