The hinges are clearly well made and would be ideal for the first hang of a door. But because the plating has made them quite thick compared to a normal hinge, they arent a like-for-like replacement if you are changing old hinges, unless you want to remove more material from every door. Great product, but maybe the thickness dimension in the description would help to avoid disappointment.

Brought to replace old hinges. Great price and value. Not top of the range, yet the quality is to quite a high standard. If you are replacing old non bearing hinges, remember these are slightly thicker and you will need to make minor adjustments for the door will close correctly.

Good hinges bought from used amazon returned warehouse whatever its called now and was listed as new but some screws were missing out of 2 boxes, this more than outweighed any discount, wished I bought brand new.

Excellent quality in terms of sturdiness, action and looks. I bought these as, after redecorating my my house and finally repainting the doors and frames, it was glaringly obvious that all the original hinges were both rusty and mismatched. These, along with new matching chromed handles and locks, not only look luxurious but have the doors close more smoothly.
