Great pedals for someone switched to clipless from toe clips
I have been riding with toe clips for almost 60 years. My days of racing and centuries are over but I still ride a lot. Lately, during the cold winter season in Chicago, I've been using my NordicTrack. I decided it was time, so bought a pair of cycling shoes, and selected the Thinvik Clipless Pedals Road Bike Cycling Pedals. They arrived within two days, and it took me a few more days to start to install them. I ran into a problem with the NordicTrack while installing the left pedal - I cannot budge the pedal to remove it. What to do? I decided I would continue. Since I'm a newby to clipless, I decided that I would install the right pedal to test the pedals and the shoes, and leave the original pedal on the left. It's a little awkard, but I can give a side-by-side comparison. What I can't do is explain how these rate against other pedals, since these are my first.Once clipped in, I found the power on my right increased dramatically. I could feel it in my hamstrings. Compared to the left side, there was a huge difference. My left leg started to get tired more quickly. The ride is smooth and I feel like, when on the road, I will have more control.I'm very happy with these so far. I can't wait until I can get someone out to remove the original pedal on the left.

I like them a lot on my Peloton
I know the manufacturer really, really wants you to think that these are almost exactly the same as Shimano R550's.They are not.But that doesn't mean that they're not pretty nice. I regularly use R550's, and had them on my Peloton before getting these. Something about the geometry of the crank on the Peloton has me setting my cleats to almost extreme angles because my heels tend to hit them. So I was interested in these not only to move my Shimano pedals to another bike, but to see if the extended distance on the 57mm spindle made an appreciable difference.I'm happy to report that they do! That little extra clearance makes a noticeable difference that's allowed me to reset the cleats on my indoor shoes and achieve a more comfortable position. So, zero complaints there. Also, the included SPD-SL cleats, while not as nice as real Shimano cleats, are surprisingly good for third-party. They clip in and out like I'd expect, and I've yet to see them shed bits of plastic in the process. So, I'd easily recommend these to people who want to change up the pedals that Peloton gives you, especially if you want to try out SPD-SL cleats without making the Shimano investment. But, I also see these as kind of "Baby's First SPD-SL's". If you find them comfortable, you'll probably want to upgrade to the real deal before these wear out.

Super affordable compared the S-mano brand...
I wanted these pedals for another bike I have and wanted the longer spindles on them, so that way if a friend who doesn't ride often needs a bike, they can jump on it and go. I attached a couple photos comparing the thinvik to Ultegra. You will see the weight isn't that far off between the two. They are only 22 grams difference in weight (In freedom units, that is .77 ounces). That isn't bad for something that is less than half the cost of Ultegra. I recently purchased my Ultegra pedals for a new bike I got and those cost me $90 where the Thinvik is only $38. Not bad at all. I have taken a few rides on them and haven't seen anything off with them. The feel and clicking in and out isn't anything different thank Ultegra or 105. If you're on a budget and don't care about name brand, save yourself a few bucks.

Smooth Entry to Clip Pedal Experience!
As a first-time user of clipless pedals, the Thinvik Clipless Pedals have provided a surprisingly smooth introduction to this cycling accessory. The installation process was straightforward, and the high-quality cleats that accompanied the pedals proved to be reliable, offering an excellent grip with my biking shoes. I particularly appreciated the inclusion of a screw for tension adjustment, making it convenient to achieve the desired grip when inserting or removing shoes. The pedals are impressively lightweight, contributing to a comfortable riding experience. During a 36-mile ride, I found the pedals to be reliable and efficient, with no issues encountered. While there's a slight learning curve to adapting to the pedal's rotation, once accustomed, it becomes a seamless and enjoyable part of the cycling routine. It's worth noting that despite the term "clipless," these pedals are effectively clip pedals, designed to perfectly accommodate special biking shoes with cleats. Overall, the Thinvik Clipless Pedals offer a user-friendly and comfortable entry into the world of clip pedals for road cycling enthusiasts.
