Excellent for everyone
Des printed edition of the holy Quran is absolutely beautiful. From the cover to the seam to the pages, everything looks beautifully made. This will definitely make a great gift for someone even for beginners. The quality of this book is suburb. I’m not Muslim, but I wanted to understand about their faith a little bit more and you could learn a lot from this book. Remain receptive and love everyone and whatever you read that is spiritual will become clear.

Great idea and fast shipping.
Always a good investment. Nothing wrong with trying to get close to god. Even though for me it is the meaning behind the story that matters, it is a key element for me to be inspired by what matters.

A traditional translation, well-presented.
While I'm not a Muslim, I've always thought other faiths' scriptures were essential reading. After all, you can believe what someone else says about the religion, or acquaint yourself with the faith, its beliefs, and its people -- something that seems especially pertinent these days. I'm not familiar with the translators here, but the translation reminds me more than a bit of the King James Bible. It's formal, with the kind of stilted verbiage you'd expect from that time period. Since I'm not a reader or speaker of Arabic, I can't speak to whether/how faithful this is to the original; by definition, any translation takes its liberties. One thing this particular translation has going for it are the intertextual parenthetical asides that let you know when the translator is adding something in order for the passage to make better grammatical sense in English. Otherwise, it's easy reading (just remember to start from what we'd normally consider the "back" of the book; Arabic, like Hebrew, goes right-to-left, which I forgot initially and couldn't figure out why it started on the last Surah). The presentation is attractive -- gold-edged paper, an embossed cover with gold lettering, sharp print in both English and Arabic. It'd make a nice gift, or a good addition to your library.

The material of the book is great, but the golden paint on the cover makes my hands shiny.
