Didn't know things like this existed until I was looking up a magnetized bit for my drill. Newly single mom so I'm not used to the handyman side of living. This is great because you can take you cheap or worn down screwdriver or bit and this will make it hold onto the screw you're trying to drive in. Again. New to being a handyman but that's the best I could describe it.

It's compact and perfect for keeping screws on the tip of your screwdriver in awkward spots. If you spill a handful of nails, your screwdriver can pick them all up. The demagnetizer works perfectly.

Only worked on 1 of 3 Screwdrivers - and that was weak. Tried a 10 mm socket - did not work either. Matter of of fact, the Magnetizing side would not fit a 10 mm socket properly anyway -- I tried smaller sockets and various brands (Kobalt , Husky, Craftsman, Pittsburgh,) none magnetized.. Would not recommend.

WOW, Works within seconds. I had to unscrew my headlight lens, to clean it, on my Kenworth truck. Like 8 screws, deep down. Without magnatizing my screwdriver and the bits I attach, they would have fallen and I would not have been able to get them. I just rubbed them on the bottom part a few seconds, and that's it. For a few bucks, problem solved!

Convenient for magnetizing screwdrivers, but no convenient hold-down or placement.

Haven't tried the demagnitizing feature, but it works well for magnetizing screwdrivers and other tools.

Nothing complicated or fancy. Serves the need
