Easy To Read: California State Map

This map is very easy to use. With the State being so long, it takes both sides of the map when unfolded to see it all. It's a big map. Every city is given a letter/number coordinate that makes them easy to find and the print is a decent size. Bought an extra for my sister-in-law who lives in the Midwest. She is always trying to figure out where something happened she hears on the news.

Having a full size map of the State of California is way better than any Google Map, MapQuest or any digital map. You can actually plot out your trip better when you can see everything between your point A to point B. When traveling great distances all I need to see is the highway. Your GPS or phone's map app can tell you what's nearby as you drive or stop. The paper map works when your phone is out of signal range, power or lost.

I needed a map that would serve as a back up if the GPS failed us. As our first road, we don't want to be left stranded and get lost, so we ordered this map. This map comes with great detail and useful tools to determine mileage and time. Highly recommend for any travelers needing a trustworthy map.Only drawback is that the map is huge, so a person might need to make a stop to look through it. The map covers a good portion of the front windshield.

Great map for good price, somewhat thick when folded but it is a big map, easy to read and good quality. I received item pictured. Great for emergency kit, just encase.

Great map. Necessary for Northern California, because WiFi for online maps is not always available or accurate.

Maps are going the way of the record player, news papers and dial telephones. Stopped in a super sized gas station/truck stop in North Florida ( the gate way for millions of tourists annually) and could not find a map anywhere in the place. The guy at the cash register said they stopped selling them years ago! Everyone uses GPS. The books stores have a few local fold out maps but mostly guide books. Obviously I'm not making the media transition very gracefully. Guess that makes me a technology fossil....I prefer the bigger view and information charts provided by a huge, printed, fold out map to the microscopic, telescoping view on a minuscule screen that more often than not is consistently wrong enough to earn my distrust. Besides, they don't disappear when the signal for my cell phone says "out of area". So, thank you Amazon and Rand McNally for keeping cartography,as I learned it, undated, accurate and available.

Great map, and I researched a lot. South CA on one side, North CA on the other. I bought 2 maps so I could get all of the coast on my board and map out a trip. I’d rather have 2 of these than a less detailed map all on one side.

Other than this was a map of California the biggest failure of a state in America , the map was of a great quality. I always use these maps and I’m never disappointed!

I like the detail of Rand maps which is great for planning a road trip and sightseeing journeys in whichever State you travel.

sembrerebbero obsolete nell'era dei navigatori, però accade che nelle zone desertiche non si trovi campo. spesso i noleggiatori di auto forniscono come navigatore un piccolo tablet che si collega al 3g e quindi si rischia di rimanere senza guida!direi che per un viaggio on the road è essenziale!
