Blame it on Emerald Isle Paperback – 11 July 2023

As an avid reader, I've read a variety of books and this book *really* does have it all. I didn't want to put it down!It has humor, wit, charm, curiosity, light mystery, it's youthful and playful, has gathered wisdom from life experience, the craziness of family, the value and fragility of friendship, humanity, forgiveness, humility, characters overcoming fear, hardship and grief, self-discovery, as well as sexy and steamy moments.The author, Luke, writes fluidly, creating a continuously vivid picture in your mind of the characters, the scenery, emotions, uncertainty, curiosity and internal dialogue; sometimes feeling the story, not just reading it. It makes you wonder what you would do in certain situations, especially when faced with challenges, grief, chaos, love and temptation.I loved the author's notes in the end, giving a glimpse into how his story came together. I've read nearly all of his books and each one has relatable characters, crazy and funny moments, gets you hot and steamy and entertains. This is a must read!!

I really enjoyed this novel. It has so many interesting things going on, it kept me guessing. Blame it on Emerald Isle is a very unique and hilarious book, but also deals with complicated life events. One of my favorite books this year.

I'm not very good at writing reviews but here goes... Read ALL Luke young books. This one is really great. Has it all. I laughed and cried. I highly recommend it. Also read hid friends with benefits series. I promise you will laugh a lot and laugh hard. UPDATE: I've reread and it's still a a really fun read. I don't read a book twice often but Luke's books are make me laugh so I read them when I need a laugh and a pick me up.

I LOVED this story! Luke is a great writer and knows how to keep you moving - I did not want to put this down! So many hilarious moments but balanced with some depth. Parts of the ending actually brought tears to my eyes and a lump in my throat and I wasn’t expecting that. I love how he also used some hidden gems of TV and movie lines throughout. This is how my husband and I often communicate and it felt fun and familiar. I felt the length of the marriage time span could have been shortened a bit without compromising the story but make it a touch more believable. The sex is steamy but nothing out of bounds or that made me uncomfortable (although I’m sure I blushed a bit.) I have recently struggled through some supposed “best sellers” that weren’t anywhere near as good as this. I will absolutely read it again! Definitely recommend!

I enjoy Luke's humorous, sexy writing style and thought I'd probably like this one too. - I loved it!But it wasn't what I was expecting from the description. I can't tell you more without spoiling it for you.He's created characters who are charming or wacky or sympathetic. This story of a woman who lost the love of her life 20-some years ago and has been living a platonic life since had a pathos that really touched me. And the writing pulled me in like the tide. Highly recommend!
