It has some obvious creases out of the packaging. But I bought this on a whim, because I'm putting together a new cosplay outfit for what's called the day of wrong at the Renaissance Festival. I read the reviews, and the images looked absolutely amazing. As soon as it got here I opened it up, and tried it on. It fit absolutely perfect, and the quality was tremendously better than anything I expected. The Delta Insignia lacked a little, but I have another one that I will be swapping it out with. I can't wait to put this to use, but in the mean time, I am so elated with my purchase, I'll definitely be on the look out for another, hopefully they'll have the red one the next time I go to buy!

Looks very good for the price. Not quite professional cosplay quality, but definitely enough to look the best at a costume party! Fits great too - I was worried the fit would be boxy, but I'm a skinny guy and it's really form fitting with crisp silhouette lines that give you that clean military uniform fit.

I have low expectations when it comes to cosplay available from major retailers. Generally the material looks cheap, the seams are poor, and it never quite matches what you see in the picture. Well in this case I was very pleasantly surprised, with one note and one caveat. I purchased the command gold. The material is thick and matches what you see on the show very well. The gold on the sleeves is decent quality, as is the “leather” on the elbows. Quite surprisingly, the collar is spot on both in design and appearance . The zipper hides surprisingly well behind the strip of gold, and the collar snaps closed over the zipper pull tab. The sleeve length is ok, a little more would be nice but it’s adequate for the size. My note is that while it technically meets expectations on the size, it’s on the more snug side. If XL fits you a bit loose, XL will be perfect for you. If XL fits you perfect, then I recommend the 2XL. At issue is not the shoulders, chest, or stomach. The problem is the length of the jacket. I found myself doing the Picard maneuver every 2 minutes, and sitting down is just not happening. The caveat is the badge. While it’s no big deal for me - since as a cosplaying fan I have several appropriate badges to choose from - most people would buy this expecting to use the badge it comes with. While I didn’t expect top quality, I was incredibly disappointed with the workmanship and color of the badge. The mold is incorrect, the gold and black paint is far off color - and so shiny it’s absurd - and it’s sloppily put on. The choice of a swing pin as a fastener is terrible for anyone who cares to keep this jacket for a long time. A push pin (or two even better) would have been a better choice and cost them less to make. For a $95 piece of cosplay it really should have a magnetic pin. It’s poor enough quality that it was tossed in the trash, I tried to give it to my 6 year old son and he looked at it and passed. A good pin would make this five stars. I recommend purchasing a pin to go with this, it will make a tremendous difference in appearance. There are several decent choices on Amazon under $30. All in all, this is absolutely a buy. I’ll likely be buying the other two colors as well.

I wanted to dress a bit more formal when I met Kate Mulgrew at the convention this weekend and this Captains Command Yellow era was just the ticket! It was well made and comfy. I think it was a bit high priced, but it was certainly worth it to feel so decked out for our meeting. We were very proud to have made Captain Janeway's day, as she said when we approached at the Convention. Oh and introducing to the world Beverly's lost son, and my loving man.... Brüt Crusher! LOL

Awesome! Very comfortable, kept me warm on a chilly night, and it fits perfectly! I've received numerous compliments on how authentic it looks; I'd definitely buy it again! I purchased a large, I'm 5"10 180 pounds, small belly.

Even though I returned this As I went with a different costume, this was really good quality. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think this is cosplay level, But for the money it was really good. I ordered a size extra large and I usually take a size large at Eddie Bauer or at target. It was a little on the Slim side, But then again I am not at 5 foot11 and 205 pounds.

Not worth the $94!. This is basically a "higher end Halloween costume". It's of better quality than a typical Halloween costume, but it's still a Halloween costume. Poor zipper, loose threads, thin fabric. Also, the fit is a little smaller, so order a size larger. (I ordered a medium)

I was amazed at this item when taking it out the bag (Size XL). Nice Quality. Everything was great. When trying this on, I noticed the item is snug. I work out slightly so I stuck to the size chart with my current measurements. The Shoulder area is TIGHT. Same as the bicep Area, Tight. Just trying it on I felt like it was going to rip. "Picard - Riker maneuver" is required when wearing this! NO way around it. Sleeve length is great on item. I like the color and material. I see why other reviewers gave the shoulder strips low reviews. The manufacturer did go low cost on them compared to the rest of the garment. I see I have to return it, for the next size up (XXL). Problem with that, sleeves will be longer, Collar will be loose from sizing up (which it slightly is on the XL, and it can use some starch before wearing for a better look) . Then taking the waste in. A bunch of costly alterations. I see I should have followed the customers reviews on the size chart, instead of the "True to fit" size chart. All in all, nice item. If it wasn't for the shoulder- biceps area, maybe the waste line area, I can see that being a problem area too, I would rate this 5 stars. Also, for alterations, not enough extra material to let any thing out, just down. So will order next size up, and take things in from there.

This thing is so nice! One of the few times an expensive costume off amazon is actually good quality. This thing is waaaaaay higher quality than the other Amazon costume brands. The yellow and gold piping details is very well done - this is going to stay in my tickle trunk for a long time. Fits true to size

HIGH QUALITY. This is a high quality well made zippered jacket style garment. I gave this as a gift and the recipient was thrilled! My only complaint is that the stripes around the shoulders are simply painted on rather than using material. Why did you guys "cheap out" there when everything else about this garment is high quality well made top notch?! The only other thing I have to say about it is that the price I paid was FAR too high, even for something like this (over $200.00) no matter who made it or where it comes from BUT I wanted to make my friend's Christmas special so, I hurtfully paid it.
