Great deal
Just got mine and it’s a really nice knife, especially for the price. I’ve been carrying my Esee 4 as my EDCI almost lost it a few days ago. I’m gonna try this out and see how it holds up. I like how it feels in the hand and came razor sharp. Fit and finish is good and I like the machined spot one the top edge of the blade, great ferro rod striker. The only shortcoming is the sheath but it’s as good as you’re gonna get for a $14 knife. I will update on edge retention and blade toughness once I’ve had a chance use it for a while. Can’t be beat for the price. Even if you just want a cheap glove box knife. It looks to be at least as good as most of the $30 or $40 knives I’ve seen. Got lucky and found an old kydex sheath from a knife I broke years ago. It fits like it was made for it.

Sharp and sturdy
This is a beautiful knife. It came very, very sharp and does exactly what it's supposed to do. It's great for feathering sticks and appears to hold up well to batoning too. The handle is great, feels good in the hand.

Amazing knife
Bought this last year. Wanted a knife that could take a beating. I've cut up chicken bones, dug holes with it and haven't had to sharpen it yet. ***Be careful. This knife is crazy sharp right out of the package.

5 stars for Perwin Bushcraft knife not the sheath.
Very nice knife, well balanced-nice grip-a razor out of the box and nice looking, specs= blade almost 5"-usable cutting edge 4" total length 10" blade thickness 3.80mm/5/32", the handle grip fit is nice but for someone with large hands it maybe a bit short, I do have a little wider than average palm and it fits me well, very good knife if the steel is what they claim. The knife fits the sheath well and it is made of material which is fine but the strap to hold knife in is crap/a small not covered rivet and there is nothing to stop the blade from cutting through the stitching,, good knife, I may just buy another. Nice Knife for this Price Point! But the Sheath...
First, I only rate exceptional products as 5-Star products. 3 Stars is an average product that does what it is designed to do. I add a star for excellent value or excellent quality; for both, it gets 5 Stars. However, there is a bit of subjectiveness to this; an item may be rated as 5-Stars against similar items in its price range, but it would never stand a chance against a 3-Star item in a much higher price range. This knife is a good knife with a good blade and at the current price (with the 50% discount) it is a really nice knife. That sheath, as others have indicated, is where it falls on its face. It isn't the right sheath for this knife. Even a hard, cheap plastic sheath would save it. A nice, hard plastic sheath would be better and a kydex sheath would be the best option. I imagine that the sheath itself is going to cause low sales. Fix that, and this company could easily sell this knife for $50.The blade is very nice, though, as you will see in one of the pictures, it has an odd section on the spine of the blade where it has been machined down a tiny bit and left in the raw. Maybe that is part of the design, I do not know, but it just doesn't quite match. The G10 grips are okay aesthetically, but mine were not quite machine correctly. When you look closely at the photos of the left and right grip panels, you will see that one has that obvious "G10 look" to it and the other doesn't. If you are familiar with the G10 material, then you'll know exactly what I mean. On the other hand, when the knife is placed in the hand, there is no shortage of "grippiness". This is knife is not slipping out or through your hand if you have any kind of a grip on it (gripped with your hand, of course). The blade has a good edge on it, out of the box, and it took a razor sharp edge with my ceramic whetstone kit that finishes with an 8000 grit stone and then a leather strop. After whacking a bit of wood and, worse, cutting several bits of paper, I was able to shave a some forearm hairs still. The steel used is D2 steel and is very popular among low-end knifemakers. It is one of the longest edge retention steels used for knives and isn't expensive at all, hence it's popularity. By low-end, I mean companies like Cold Steel and the like whose knives are made in China and not the $15 and below, no-name market knives that can't take an edge and would break if used as a letter opener!Anyway, this knife is good. Yes, it has a few minor flaws but they do not take away from the fact that this is a nice knife. What does hurt it, quite badly, is that sheath. Not only is wrong for this knife, it is hideous looking with that reddish-brown pleather on it.If I can find a sheath that will work for it, I am going to put it on my EDC rack in the car. I just don't care to spend more than the knife is worth to have a custom kydex sheath made for it, especially when that is what should have come with it in the first place.Oh, one last thought... this knife balances quite nicely. The very stable balance point on mine is right on the screw head; the one closest to the blade of course.

Awesome knife. Sets a standard imo.
This blade is ridiculous for the asking price. The sheath is 2/5, but for the knife alone, it's irrelevant. I'll be stitching my sheath up and reinforcing it, for I stance. The handle and materials it's made of is just bonkers for 14 dollars. No burrs, fit extremely well and shave sharp upon arrival.

I bought because of the blade.
The media could not be loaded. The blade shape is classic and D2 is very good knife steel. I can make a leather sheath if I decide but the included sheath will do for now. I can also make wood scales but the G10 scales feel fine in my hand. For the price I couldn't pass it up. The blade passed the paper test right out of the box. After a little stropping it glides through paper. About an inch on the back of the blade has been flattened to sharp, square edge for striking a ferro rod. I like this knife. I decided to make a wood handle for the two I now have. Then I put a fero rod on the sheath.
