I know it's confusing to understand the strengths in units vs mg so let me help.... In fibrinolytic enzymes,(Lumbrokinase, Nattokinase, etc.) it is the units that matter, not the weight, and specifically with Lumbrokinase, it is 800,000 FU (Fibrin Units) that is the normal, good, strong dosage per day, and if one has bad clots, then two a day, bringing you to 1,600,000 FU or Units per day. A GOOD quality Lumbrokinase capsule will be approximately 40 mg of the product that will deliver 800,000 FU. Higher mg with less FU or U is a lower quality product where it will take more of that product to bring it to the 800,000 units of fibrinolytic action you need. So... average, good quality lumbrokinase will bring about 20,000 units per mg, which brings us to the norm of 40 mg equaling 800,000 FU. This product is only 7,500 units per mg, (instead of the normal 20,000 units per mg) so it is a much lower quality with 1,500,000 Fibrin Units in a large amount of 200 mg.[as they claim] so they have to cram more of it; 200 mg, into each capsule....... and the MOST important part is the capsule itself in these enzymatic products, as the stomach acids literally kill the enzymes, and render the Lumbrokinase you just swallowed, useless. The capsules HAVE to be "enteric" capsules, which are capsules that will NOT dissolve in the stomach acids. The enteric capsule survives the stomach acids as it makes it's way to the intestines, which are more alkaline. Enteric capsules only dissolve in the alkaline environment, where the Lumbrokinase enzymes will then be taken up into our systems within the intestines, and have the full effect. Hope this helps. Conclusion: This specific product is enteric contained, and it does deliver a high FU (they call it LKU [Lumbrokinase Units]) so at this price it is a satisfactory product but not of the higher quality of others. Normally I only go for higher quality instead of quantity, but in this case, as it is still just 1 capsule to take, instead of a bunch, I will buy this to try. :-)
