Hello, yes it would muffle a dog barking. It will not completely eliminate the sound, but it will definitely reduce the the harshness of it. This product will work well if you have a noticeable gap under your door as that is where most of the sound is coming through. If it doesn't work out you can always return it.

Q: I have a 30 inch door. How easy is it to cut down to that size and take off 6 inches?
