Breastfeeding is so hard, this helped me.
Disclaimer: I only breastfed for a little over two months. My baby had a hard time latching, and with my husband being deployed for a month just after she was barely a month old, pumping and feeding began to be too much of a time toll on me.Having said that, while I was breastfeeding, my baby had a hard time latching. It led to me getting incredibly swollen breasts as my milk came in, and almost impossible to drain. They were so painful, and after awhile, I could tell as I was starting to get a clogged duct. I never made it to the point of having huge large lumps that protrude from my skin as I’ve seen in some pictures, but I definitely had painful lumps whenever I went too long from pumping, or something. The lactation consultant recommended two minutes of massaging each breast before feeding/pumping to help the let down process and getting your milk flowing. As what was basically a single mom trying to do it all just after giving birth, those 4-5min trying to massage my breasts before pumping for 15-20min, then giving the baby the bottle for 20min or so… breastfeeding became too much. BUT, this little vibration tool saved me so much time that I could stick it in my pumping bra or move it around as I was watching tv or something during pumping. It DEFINITELY helped getting my milk to flow and I noticed a considerable difference in the amount coming out during the same allotted time with and without the massager. I only bought one during a sale since I was trying to save money and not purchase a million things. When you’re in pain and struggling, you’ll just about purchase any and everything. I had a hard time selecting which one to get, and what was cost effect, and if I needed two… if you have the money, I guess two would be even easier, but personally one worked just fine for me. I’d switch between each breast at the halfway mark, or put it on the area of breast that felt knotted to help get everything out. A heating pad was something I already had, and with the battery life reviews of the massagers with heat, I felt those for the price were unnecessary. I still agree with that first assumption. The heating pad, when needed, which wasn’t very often as I began to get the hang of everything, does the job just fine. So anyway, if you’re looking for a massager or something to help with pump/breast feeding- I highly recommend!

Useful for nursing and new moms
New moms would for sure find it really useful. Vibration has different levels , durable and heat level is neutral, comfortable to carry and use. It’s easy to clean

Only issue is the battery life
I don’t know why I waited so long to purchase this massager. I started out exclusively pumping and had a bit of an oversupply and was always having issues with clogs. This massager works great. I basically feel like I can’t empty without it. My main issue is the battery life. On days that I work I typically pump 5 times. Once after feeding babe in the morning, 3 times at work since I work 12’s and then before bed. I typically pump for 15-20 minutes each time. The battery *maybe* lasts all day. I had died on me during the day if I forgot to charge the night before. I contacted the company asking how long the battery is supposed to last and was told this was normal for my devices age (about 2 months battery lasts 1.5-2 hours MAX). Leaving this massager plugged in at work when it looks like a vibrator...my coworkers get a kick out of it but some may not.

Helpful to get rid of clogged ducts
Although this is also a great preventative, it was very helpful whenever I had clogged ducts. The massaging options and pointed tip were great for getting in there and working out the clogs. I like that it’s small enough to fit in her hand nicely and the silicone was easy to clean. Good battery life. Nice to have on hand in case of clogs.

Amazing for clearing blockages AND pumping more efficiently!
For various reasons, I’ve had to exclusively pump after my daughter was born. For the sake of my sanity and to avoid being chained to the pump all day long, I am currently - at nearly 9 months postpartum - pumping 3 times a day at evenly spaced 8 hour intervals. Longer gaps between pump sessions generally require longer pump sessions in order to maintain an adequate milk supply. That’s where these beautiful massagers come in! I first came across the LaVie massager in an article from a post-pregnancy newsletter that I’ve been getting via email. I’ve always been prone to annoying painful blockages, and despite wanting some kind of vibrating tool to help combat them, nothing really existed for that purpose before (I tried one of those handheld vibrating back massagers, which failed miserably - ouch!). I ordered one up directly through the manufacturer, gave it a try, and it worked great!I started out trying the massager before and after pumping as a means of trying to clear out some of those annoying blockages. It wasn’t long before I started using it while I was pumping. I immediately noticed that the massager wasn’t only helping to clear out blocked areas, it was also helping me to pump more efficiently, too. For a while, I was actively using one massager and was constantly switching its placement from side to side while I pumped. I recently discovered that Amazon was selling the massagers, and I decided to order a second one.I’ve always had to work hard to get my milk out and empty with a breast pump. Constant use of hand massaging, compressions, and direct pressure meant that I couldn’t just sit there while I pump. Forget about surfing the web on my phone or iPad - my hands were always too busy for that. The use of TWO massagers while I pump has been game changing. Instead of moving one back and forth, I’ve been able to stuff one into each side of my pumping bra and leave them there for the duration of my pump cycle. I’m now pumping more efficiently and (even better) hands free. It’s taking less time to effectively empty out at the pump, and I think I’m even getting a little more milk output at the same time. It’s definitely a win-win in my book!Oh, and since I started using two massagers, I’ve noticed that the frequency and severity of my blockages have also gone down quite a bit. I’m definitely a fan!
