I bought a Milwaukee 12v shop vac and was extremely disappointed with the battery life. With a 4ah High Output battery I get maybe 10 to 15mins of use on high setting. I've got a bunch of MKE 18v batteries and looked for an adapter that would fit my MKE 12V vac so I could get more uptime. I found this adapter and it works great in the vac. It is small enough to allow you to close the vac's cover but not with the battery installed. Anyhow, it does exactly what I needed and also gives me flexibility to use 18v batteries in my other battery draining 12v tools, i.e. die grinder & multi-tool.
