Brand-Name Liftmaster Garage Door Remote
I’m so pleased that I was able to find the Liftmaster brand remote for my garage door opener. It was easy to set up, works well and is durable. The generic remote (from the previous homeowner) was flimsy and unreliable.

Excellent Replacement Garage Door Opener
My intention was to replace LiftMaster opener remote 371LM when I ordered. The 371 Model has a single button. What I received was the 373LM model which has 3 buttons. My LiftMaster Opener has a Purple learn button mentioned in some reviews. I thought I was going to have to return the 373LM but I quickly programed the 373 to my remote and found that one of the small 3 buttons also turns the garage door opener light on and off. This is a handy feature. So I learned that the large button controls the door opener, the one small button controls the light and I have no information about what the 3rd button would do. This opener fills my needs but I wish there were more information included to explain other possible features utilizing the 3rd button as I do have a smart phone. In all I'm happy with this remote and my purchase. Edit: One problem I did have is with the clip on the back of the new remote. It did not fit properly on the visor of my car. The shape just was not right. I had to use the clip that came with my original remote so be sure to hold on to that until you know if you will need it.

Simple device, opens/closes my garage door. Didn't realize how good it was util...
This remote came with our garage door opener newly installed in 2009. I replaced the battery maybe twice - roughly every 5 yrs as is normal. The battery was easy to replace and it is still working as of today. We had a second vehicle which had a built-in learning remote, but when we replaced that vehicle the next one didn't have one built in, so I had to buy a second one. The exact numbers on the orignal matched this one, but the price was $29, and I saw many that were compatible with prices as low as $11 - for a 2-pack! So I bought that.Quickly I realized why this one was $29 as opposed to $11 for two. The working range! The others I bought required me to be in my driveway literally right outside the door before I could open it when I arrived home. I sent those back, and shelled out the $29 for this one, and was happy when this remote worked from as far away as the original that we still use. So I've been enjoying clicking the remote from my visor when I am half way down the street coming home, that is what I've grown used to and is why I bought this one.I did read most of the 1-Star ratings prior to buying this one, looking for any trends. I will say that regarding shopping for a compatible remote, the one downside isn't with the product, but the fact that you need to read everything from all places to understand what you are getting. For example, The title, the bullet line facts, the comparison chart which may not always exist but it did with this one, which gave the working range of 164 feet for this one, the highest of the bunch listed, showing the one I bought first having only 50 foot range, Then the manufacture writeup which you have to scroll down to see, and it is in the really small font, contains yet other critical info not mentioned in the main writeup. It does mention only works with those with purple button, LiftMaster brand only, manufactured between 2005 and later, again only if it has a purple button. One 1-star rating said their's has a purple button but it didn't work, LiftMaster brand, manufactured in 1993 and they stated the year range was not mentioned - perhaps it didn't when they purchased it, but as I said you must read all of the various sections to see that - I think it was only in the small font manufacturing blurb far down the product page.If you are still reading, now you get to look at some pictures. They show just how far away this remote works (for me, maybe it depends also on the main unit receiver antenna (small 10 inch soft wire) and if you don't have a lot of EMF interference appliances or 5G transmitters in your area. But I am impressed by how far up my street I can click the remote and see my door start to open.Photos explained (3). I click just as I reach the white vinyl fence on the left side of the street. I hold the remote button down for maybe 1 second. When I reach my mailbox, only then I can actually see my garage door, and it is opening already so I stop pressing. Other photos show different perspectives of my house, where the garage door is, also you can see from 3 angles about how far it works. I estimate it to be about 150-175 feet. The comparison chart shows this one to be 164 feet, so that's about what I get (See photos)

Doesn't last long
Worked for a little over a year, and now it sometimes works other times have to be only a few feet away to function. For over $25 you'd think it'd last longer. I guess I may as well get a cheapo brand.
