The "chunky" part of the description had me a little worried that it may be too thick and hot. It is thick, but I'm pleased to say that it actually feels pretty light and isn't too hot. I like that it just covers most of the crown of my head and the tips of my ears.My only complaint is that it is a little tight. I'm hoping that it will stretch out as I wear it. If you like this style of hat, I definitely recommend this one. Just be aware that it may be a little tight if you have a medium to large head.

If you have a smaller head like I do and don't like all the excess material, this is a good hat. You also can roll it up more or less, to change the overall size of the thing. That means you can wear it above your ears if you don't want to wear it over your ears.I'd say it's not that warm. It says 30% wool content, and maybe that's accurate. But it's not all that warm. Which can be good! If you live in a place with a milder winter, for example, NYC last year was just not that cold, and this would have worked the whole winter more or less. On cold cold days, you'll want real 100% wool, or something that breathes less. But this seems very comfortable as a cap from 50 degrees to 30 degrees.Style wise, it looks like the photos. Nice.

Nothing against the item itself... It came exactly as described, and fits/looks like it does in the product photos and videos. I've never tried this style of hat, and wasn't sure if I'd like it - and am still unsure about that. I am sure this is a quality knit product, and that it is comfortable. I'm just not used to hats like this not covering my ears, and my wife says it looks "weird" on me. I can't fault the item for that, so I'm giving it 5 stars for quality and looks exactly as in the description.

I am absolutely thrilled with this hat! It's really comfortable and fits beautifully. I have thinning hair and this cap keeps my head nice and warm and looks great while doing so. Most knit caps tend to be really long so that they cover your whole head and still have lots left over and look kind of sloppy. This is a great looking cap that reminds me of my old watch cap in the Navy but with way chunkier yarn. I am incredibly happy with it.

Would definitely keep your head warm in the winter. Nice thick knit, seems decently made.

I have a bald head and I hate how some hats tend to slip off of my head. That is not the case with this beanie, however. It is very well made, is warm, and very comfortable. Nice snug fit and looks good without the bagginess that you get with some hats. The shorter fit is really good, I feel like a sailor wearing it, it looks great!

I got this for my husband, who originally said "you shouldn't have. None of those fit the way I like". But then this one did, so win win! I like that he can fold down the sides if he decides he needs better coverage. He said it's soft and seems it will be warm enough for winter.

Has a good fit to it especially if you like a snug fit. Can roll up over your ears and still look good. Warm and comfy. Good quality.
