Bought it for my sedan and I was not disappointed!
I put this on my 4 door sedan to transport my 10ft 50lb kayak and it has saved my car! I'm 5'1 and 117lbs and I am able to load and unload it myself with a little maneuvering. Amazing quality for the price. Durable and sturdy. You will not have to worry about your kayak sliding around with this on. 10/10Its lightweight, easy to remove and put back on. The straps make it easily adjustable and the drawstring bag makes it easy to throw in the trunk with you're done with it.

Works wonders
I wanted to buy my own kayak but there's no way I could just buy an SUV or truck just to transport it. So, I checked out Amazon and found this! It's so easy to install straight out of the bag, and it packs neatly right back into it. This allowed me to go buy my own and I drove over 2 hours home with no issues (save for not realizing you need to twist the straps to prevent whistling/howling, but that's on me not the product). The straps secured it in place and with a tie at the trunk it was not moving! Now, as others have commented, I can see how it would let water seep in since it breaks the seal of the door, so this may not be good if it's raining on your trip. But I really feel like this is a lifesaver for car owners who need something as I did.

Quick and easy
This was purchased to be used to carry my kayak on my vehicle, which does not have a roof rack. I’m impressed with them. They store easily in their bag that they come with, and can be put on and taken off in just a few minutes. They seem to be built and so far are a good value for

Great product.
Easy to install and worked great. Transported one kayak about 400 miles on a Honda Pilot. Saved the expense of buying a Yamaha or similar brand metal carrier.

Work well
These work really well. I’m using them on my SUV with a panoramic sunroof. They stay in place when I transport my kayak.

It’s okay. Best for a small single kayak or paddle board.
It’s easy to put on and comes with everything pictured. We have a 13ft tandem kayak and the foam isn’t wide enough for a wide kayak. The foam also flattens which was expected. The thing you will have to look out for is your weather stripping. You have to pull the straps very tight to feel safe. We took it for a test ride and did a couple of break checks. It passed those tests. Just wouldn’t use this method all the time because I can see the straps, foam, and ropes getting wore out fairly quickly. From about 40mph you will the straps very loudly. We felt the most comfortable driving 50-55mph with this set up. I guess it’s the best you can do for what it is and if you don’t have actual racks on your car. Just be careful.

Great product so far
I've used these twice now with my kayak and they seem very good to me. I haven't driven in rain with them on yet so that may be a potential problem but I don't plan on kayaking in the rain. I may want to take it to Florida this winter and if I hit rain while traveling I'll find out what happens then. So far a great product and the kayak rides very stable. I do notice some noise but I read some comments about putting a twist in the strap so I will try that. One thing I will wait and see is if the pads get worn and squished over time. That could be a potential problem but for now a great product I would recommend.

Potentially dangerous!!!
This is my second time reviewing this item because honestly, I had reservations after my first use. These follow the contour of your roof and therefore they do not lay flat, which was a problem my second and final time using them because my kayak almost completely slipped off. They are hard to tighten down completely and often slide around despite the non-grip on the bottom. Today it rained sooner than expected, a torrential downpour, and when I got inside of my car, not only was it leaking where the straps were, but the rainwater was actually running down the straps, soaking everything in my vehicle. I immediately tore them off of my car in the pouring down rain and started a refund. These are NOT WORTH IT and POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS!!!Update...unfortunately I am going to have to keep this item as I have found no better alternative or a more permanent solution for my situation, which is a bare rooftop on an old Toyota Matrix. Another thing I noticed, after only using it on my car 3 times now, it is either discoloring my vehicle or it is wearing away the pain. Either way, if the top brand name, more permanant solutions do not work for you, just buy pool noodles, you're better off. I've attached a picture of the wearing/staining on my car. Guess when it comes to what I see as a potential hazard, I will just have to be extremely careful about.
