I've been in the market for a decent emery board or nail file going on it feels like several years now. I'm not a professional, and the ones sold to the consumer market really don't work well at all in my opinion. They either wear out too fast, or stain your nails (those black ones, ugh!), bend and fold, I could go on and on. I've never liked metal nail files and having tried the newer glass types, not really fond of those either. Whatever happened to the good old emery boards I used to buy, they'd last seemingly forever as long as you didn't lose them.So first impressions with these emery boards in particular is that there is a lot of them, hooray! As I hinted at previously, emery boards for some of us seem to get lost pretty easily. Even if you have a package of say 3, pretty soon you're spending as much time looking for your board or file as working on your nails. With these full dozen nail files, it feels like I will never run out, even when my daughter "borrows" one, or two. In part too, though because (second impression) they are larger than emery boards I've purchased in the past. Longer, wider, and thicker, so they won't be as easy to lose and easier to handle. And on the thicker point (third impression) they are bendable but don't feel like they will crease easily, a complaint of mine with the cheapo set I got previous to these. And unlike the old school emery boards I used to buy (which were basically sandpaper on some wood) it appears these are washable too, which actually feels like an upgrade, though I haven't tried that yet. Plus two grits for rough shaping and finer touches. All in all I'm very pleased with this product, and so (finally!) are my nails.

Didn’t know there was a difference, and what a difference it makes. Holy smokes! These are amazing mail files for natural nails. I’ve been using way to string of a grit and figured I just didn’t know what I was doing. Clearly I didn’t. I LOVE these nail files with a double sided difference in grit.the first time I used one on my nails they gently buffed out rough edges without destroying the nail. Don’t know why I didn’t catch it, but I also am new to home nail care. I usually just cut them down to the quick rounding out the edges with the clipper. Don’t be like me. Invest in your nails. And ensure you have the right tools. Not all tools are there right ones. The more experienced nail artists might laugh at my naivety, and I feel downright stupid for not realizing something so obvious.

My thin, tiny nails don't do well with most files, but the finer grit side of these files work perfectly and fast on their edges. I would also like to take a file with me to smooth out any rough spot that develops while I am out and about, but the large size would be crazy eye catching to pull out of my purse. I expect I look comical filing my little nails with them. I'm going to try cutting off an end to put in my bag because I have plenty to experiment with since they came in a twelve pack.

I thought these were okay nail files, I just wish they were stronger.

I do my nails at home and am always on the look out for a good 100/180 grit nail file and these fit the bill perfectly! I like that they have different angles along the sides so you can get in all the nooks and crannies while being comfortable holing the file. The large surface area means you can use it longer as well. I've used them so far on my natural nails, dip powder, gel tips and gel polish all with great effect. These are my new go-to file and I will definitely be getting more of these!

I am really pleased with these nail files - I have natural nails that are very thin and break and split easily and these file boards perform well to keep my nails shaped and neat! One side is for shaping, the other for finishing - the package comes with a dozen which is great - I tuck these everywhere so whenever I notice a nail that needs attention, there is a board within reach! They are a nice large size and easy to hold - the boards are cushioned and flexible but not bendy and flimsy - I am really hapy with these emery boards!
