I didn’t even know these were an option until I saw an article about trying to keep the microplastics out of our food! I decided to give this option a try and I don’t plan on turning back!I was not sure about the ability of this material to work well in a skillet or to break up meat, etc. But I am pleasantly surprised at how well these work for cooking and serving! I had kept my older rubber ones in case I didn’t like these and now that I’ve been using them for over a month I plan on sticking with them permanently. The old ones are being tossed!!Pros:- packed well and arrived quickly- wash well in the dishwasher- great for use when cooking in a skillet or just serving dishes- healthier option than rubber and plastic utensils- have not had any trouble with them being heat resistant so far- easy to store in a drawer or a utensil jar- they feel thick enough to be sturdy but not too thick that they can’t flip items in a panCons:- I haven’t found anything yet. The only thing is that I’m mad I only bought a set of six! I will likely get rid of any last plastic utensils and switch permanently to these!If you are hesitant like me don’t be! These are decent quality. Like all wooden utensils, you will have to make sure to care for them appropriately (don’t leave them soaking in water.) They are sturdy but I wonder how they will endure over time. I really like the shape and size of each utensil. Each utensil has a practical purpose and this set would make a great gift set for someone just starting out on their own. The color is very nice with a natural wood grain and they are very smooth to the touch. They are light weight which is nice to cook with, but it also has me slightly concerned as mentioned above on the endurance. Time will tell.
