Fantastic spotting scope for the money!
I purchased this scope primarily for the range. At 100 yards it is crystal clear with plenty of light and clarity. This knocks my friends scope right out of the range! Big name brand too. He said he paid twice as much for his and the range of view and clarity cannot compete with the Nexiview! The cell phone feature is really nice too. I had a chance to use it. Very easy to install. I find if you're looking for a quick glance at the target, that this is a nice feature to have. setting the camera on video gave me the best resolution. The tri pod is ok. Plenty of adjustments, but basically it's a low end product that is mainly plastic. I get it, it keeps the costs down and that is ok. Nexiview doesn't have to offer it and many people will enjoy it.I have a high quality aluminum tripod that I will be using instead keeping this one as a back up. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality of the scope, and the packaging was top notch with a very durable box that has dense foam that molds the scope and accessories beautifully. If you're are on the fence about purchasing this scope, hop off and buy it, you will be happy you did.

Great scope!
Fabulous scope for beginners! Does what I need it to do for spotting and photographing wildlife. Tripod needed to be replaced for one with a maneuverable ball for better motion and hold. Phone adapter works, but their are easier versions out there.

Nice find
As an avid glasser in Arizona, I've always relied on my high-quality 10x42 binoculars. Their wide field of view is perfect for spotting, but when you need to zoom in, that's where a spotting scope truly shines. This scope is also fantastic for our target archery competitions. To put it through its paces, we took it to a football field, setting a stuffed animal at one end zone and viewing it from the other, a distance of 120 yards. I should mention that the heat waves rising off the turf affected the clarity, but that's more a testament to the conditions than the scope itself. Using the included tripod, we kept the scope about 15 inches above the turf. Our test shots included pictures up close, then at 10 yards, 50 yards, 120 yards using the phone attachment (where the animal appeared slightly smaller), and finally at 60 yards using the phone zoom (where the animal appeared larger). When spotting archery scores at 50 yards, the image was crystal clear. Initially, I was skeptical about the phone attachment and considered discarding it, but I'm glad I gave it a chance. Once you get the hang of attaching it and aligning your camera, it becomes almost better than using the viewer directly. The focusing system is intuitive. Start with rough focus near the eyepiece, fine-tune with the small dial on top, and you can even use your phone's zoom for extra clarity. I appreciate the extendable eyepiece for glasses wearers and the pull-out sunshade. The mini-tripod is convenient once you get used to adjusting the handle to tighten or loosen it. Overall, we're thrilled with this spotting scope. It's excellent for archery, and we're excited to mount it on a larger tripod at my sister’s house to watch deer and other wildlife in the fields and woods around their property.

Decent budget scope, horrid tripod
The scope is good for a budget model, and works out to about 50 yards. The tripod is a piece of junk and wobbles incessantly. If you're over 6' tall like me you have to crane your neck down uncomfortably to use it. At max height it's neither tall enough or sturdy enough, and will constantly wobble or lose sight picture. With a better tripod it's a functional scope for short range shooting.
