Yes it does. Also depending on where you buy it, you may get vinyl sheets to try out with it. Mine did come with a couple of sheets to try out with it.

does this machine cut fabrics

Richard I have not cut fabric but a friend has,she recommends that you use some kind of fabric backing from the sewing section or heavily spraying and then ironing the fabric to give it body and stiffness . A new blade is also a must if you are cutting thicker fabrics use deep cut blade and housing. Do not cut fleece. Good luck.

Why won't my cricut imagine read my new mat

The Cricut Imagine has special mats that it is able to read. They are the only ones compatible with this machine. You can identify them by the black line around the grid. Hope this helps!

does this machine color in picture also and as well cut it out

Yes it has a print cartridge just like a copier and it prints in color and then cuts the image out you just have to make sure you calibrate the machine properly or it won't cut right. It can cut images out in layers or in A single layer. You can watch videos on YouTube. I love my Imagine. The ink becomes harder and harder to get because they aren't making any more imagine machines so stock up on ink if you decide to get it. :)
